Great location and amenities! I like these apartments so well I moved away and came back to rent again from The Palisades. The temperature controlled underground parking for $50 is invaluable. The staff are friendly and better than most large apartment complexes. Normal issues of renting and rental neighbors are within expected reason. Higher end of average apartments and worth it. Everything is close to these apartments. Very convenient!

Reasonable price (in 2013-2014), nice maintenance people, fairly clean. Management is ok, deal with Reeva if possible, Amy is extremely rude and unhelpful. BEWARE- Heat is paid but they TURN IT OFF IN APRIL (which is technically illegal because of the low temps that persist now). I was advised to turn on my oven and leave the door open (so my curious cats could crawl in... And so I could start a fire).

I do not recommend renting from The Palisades Apartments. Was called two days before my move-in date to confirm I was moving in two weeks after I had just called them the week prior to make sure everything was squared away (I was en-route with a packed U-haul). Once everything was worked out and I saw the apartment before signing the lease it was nothing like the model apartment we were shown. The apartment was smelly, full of mold, did not have any updates I was promised, outlet covers were missing, linoleum was stained, walls were not freshly painted, the woman was still in the apartment trying to frantically scrub the floors. There were still belongings from the previous tenants on the balcony. The closets and cupboards were dirty. I informed them I would not be signing the lease, and was forced to get a hotel room/pay for the U-haul for three extra nights causing us over $1000 in expenses while we scrambled for an acceptable place to live. Getting my deposit back was a disaster with one of the leasing consultants saying I could get it back and the manager saying I couldn't - glad I got it in writing and had an inch of legal ground to stand on as giving me back my $300 was the least they could do. After 5+ years of apartment living, I can confidently and 100% say this was my worst rental experience ever.

The apartments are decent, the one bedroom is a good size. The appliances are old and the management does not seem to be in any hurry to replace them. The common areas have been remolded and are nice, but because of that rent increased more than it should have. The location is great, and underground parking available. The office is so disorganized it takes forever to get any request you need filled. When you go in to sign a lease, get a new key, or whatever, it never goes smoothly. You will have one person call you to ask a question because another person made a mistake. When you go in to talk about it, a third person has no idea what is going on. They never respond to our calls or emails, or notes left with office worker for managers. The only way to get something you need is to go in person, and be prepared for it to take a week to get done because your request gets lost in the lack of communication there.

This is not the worst place nor is it the best place. My experience was a mixture of border line good and terrible. The office staff at times were incompetent, either slow or hesitant to resolve issues. I will give a nod to the maintenance staff. One in particular was very friendly and did his best to fix issues. Some of the people they rented to were rude and inconsiderate. Many didn't realize other people lived there as well. Parties and noise disruptions were a common issue. Many times the laundry rooms were taken up by people whom felt they didn't need to check on their loads. The machines were constantly broken. Winter time expect the parking lot to be cleared days after heavy snow fall. There was a time when it took four days before it was cleared. The new renovations are nice but it was long over due. Overall if your looking just for a place just to rent it may be a good fit. If your looking for a place to call home for a set time look else where.
