I have lived here 4 months and have thoroughly enjoyed it. It is very quiet, and well maintained. The maintenance staff is excellent and well managed. The office staff are nice and very helpful also. Any complaints or problems are addressed immediately. I have a 2 bedroom 2nd level with a private entrance facing the woods and the lake.

I have only lived at Park Place of Northville Apartment for a short time. However, in that time I have been very pleased with this facility, especially the maintenance department. Each time I have called in need of their service they have responded as soon as possible. The maintenance person assigned to my apartment is Mark Siegrist. He always arrives with a cheerful attitude and and the ability to get all of my requests taken care in without hesitation. In my opinion he deserves a star rating.

I lived in a 2 bed 2 bath on the second floor and it was perfect. I have lived at several different communities in Michigan including East Lansing, Royal Oak, and here and this is by far the best. I diligently looked at all communities in the area and this was easily and by far the best of them all. First off, the community is extremely well maintained, as are the units themselves. Considering the location, size of the units, and amenities included (they will come to your door and pick up your trash) I am amazed that the rent is as low as it is. Maintenance - I never once had a problem with maintenance and believe that the system they have in place works the best. Our hot water heater went out on 2 occasions (something classified as emergency) and they were there within an hour to fix it both times (one time was on a Sunday!). I also had a few minor things like a loose kitchen faucet and broken door chain and they were there the following day to fix them on both occasions. Only downside I could say is that we were promised the kitchen cabinets were going to be upgraded when we signed the lease but no one ever showed up to do so (not a big deal the old ones were in great shape). I think this was because they contracted out the work though and the contractor wasn't very timely in dealing with all the community units (they have a LOT). All of my neighbors were very quiet. I think the community by nature is more of an older (non-college generation) community of respectable people. Furthermore they throw events on a monthly basis for the community for you to get to know your neighbors. It is also a very safe community. One of my neighbors had a bike he left by his carport that he never locked up and it was always there. It is also very close to everything you need (5 mins from Meijer, Trader Joes, Gas Station, Downtown Northville; 15 mins from 12 Oaks shopping area). There is also a school with a park walking distance from the community and even more great parks surrounding downtown Northville. As far as the staff goes, they were extremely professional and helpful. One of the things that sold me on the community was Eric's friendliness and "non-salesman" approach. It was clear he wanted us to find somewhere that was what we were looking for, whether or not it was Park Place. He asked where else we were looking and he shared the good and the bad he had heard about every place including their own community. Very honest and knowledgeable, I signed the lease then and there which worked out because this place easily has the nicest apartments and community in the entire area. Further more, I was out of the country when it came time for the 60 days notice of my lease termination and was thus about a month late on the notice (Only reason I moved is because I had to relocate for my job). Russell (the manager) was willing to work with my on the notice so that I wouldn't have to pay for an extra month of rent. All in all the staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to help. You truly can't go wrong with this community. I highly recommend it to everyone I know

Warning- Rent elsewhere! Nothing but problems with their staff. I signed a short term 90 day lease and they tried to gouge me at the end of my contract stating that I hadn't adequately provided a 60 day notice that I was leaving. I had to argue with their staff and management, never receiving an actual phone call back from a human being. Still fighting over the final month bill. They are charging me a full month when my 90 day lease runs up on the 8th. They are only out for themselves. It's also interesting that as my 90 days ran out, no one ever called or sent an letter to see if I would be renewing my lease. It's like they wanted me to not notify them so they could charge me. Other than the financial issues I've been having with them, the apartment was filled with pill bugs (that yes, they did eventually spray for). Also, since we were on the first floor, the ceiling is so poorly insulated/sound protected that we could literally hear our upstairs neighbors roll over in bed. If you are going to rent here, be certain to get a 2nd floor apt and check and double check your lease agreement so they don't try to screw you. These are sneaky people.
