I don't really know what the other reviewers are talking about as our experience with PRG was good. Maintenance was always prompt and courteous, and the only continuous problem we had was with a leak in the roof in one of the bedrooms, which are a pain to locate and fix. Roofers were always out within a couple of days, depending on weather. The folks in the office were always professional and willing to work with us. We did get better communication using phone rather than email, though. Paying rent online was very convenient. One downside that we learned pretty quickly: If you have multiple people paying rent, you can pay separately until the first, and then have to pay it all in a lump sum. Which isn't a bad thing, except water doesn't get factored in until the first, so we ended up more than once with a balance of like $8. My only other complaint about them was that I was usually the one handling maintenance (I work from home and it was easiest for me) and would call it in and tell the person on the line to call my number when needed... but they'd always call my boyfriend, who works a standard 9-5 job and cannot answer his phone. Again, though, the people were very professional and there rally wasn't anything big to complain about. The only reason we're looking for someplace different is we want to upgrade from an apartment to a house. Edited 7/17/15: Due to unforeseen circumstances, we decided to renew our lease here for another year. We had been given a note when we first put in our 60 day notice that they welcome us to stay for the same rent, but apparently, since they found someone to rent our apartment after that, the notice we got was no longer valid. Ok, fine. We had considered transferring apartments to a 1 bed. We saw it and after we were told they would not honor the notice they sent us, we decided we'd transfer to the other apartment. Except in the span of a week, the 1 bedroom was the same price as the two bedroom we are currently in AND there is a $300 transfer fee that we were not made aware of WHEN WE TOURED THE APARTMENT AND MET WITH THE MANAGER WHO WE TOLD WE MIGHT BE TRANSFERRING. We finally come to an agreement, and make it known that one roommate is leaving and are assured that we don't have to do anything different and it's all good, and now, TODAY, we are told something entirely different. I have removed a full star because they can't get their act together enough to keep track of what they think we can do.

This is the worst apartment I have ever been in. I have had problem after problem. Yes they seem all nice when you come and view the apartment but once your in the trouble starts. First we were called the day before our move in day and told that our apartment that we signed the lease and payed for 2 MONTHS in advance was not ready, so we had to be moved to another apartment. Then when we got moved in to the new apartment the very first night we noticed that we had roaches!!! So we called the exterminator and they had to come twice before we saw any results. Then our water in our shower shot out "debri" if that what you want to call it, black chunky stuff, so we got that fixed, the oven wasnt cleaned, the pipe under the kitchen sink was leaking. And on top of all of that the office management are complete assholes. There was one nice lady Taylor but she doesnt even work here. The rest of them are liars. I would not wish this apartment on my worst enemy. I cant afford to break the lease so I am stuck but I cant wait to get the hell out of here. If you are reading this SERIOUSLY DO NOT... I REPEAT DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!!!

I would steer clear of signing a lease with Park Ridge! My roommate and I lived at Park Ridge Estates for a year and had a subpar time while living there but a horrible time moving out. Our A/C broke mid-July and it took them 3 days to fix it. Meanwhile, it was reaching 90 degrees in our apartment. When we went to move out, the management blamed the "saturated" carpet, which was in the area of the A/C unit, on my roommate's less than 10 lb, house-broken dog. We tried to reason with the management that the wet carpet was due to the A/C overheating and flooding but to no avail. The property manager at the time, Rita, went so far as to avoid dealing with us that she once lied and said she was not on the property when I saw her 10 minutes later walking out to her car. She also lied to my face and to my roommate and said that I had said the apartment smelled like urine. Because of the carpet fiasco and lack of reasoning by the property management, my roommate and I were stuck with about an $800 bill for carpet we did not mess up. Also, for the last month of rent my card was charged more than the amount of rent we should have paid and this money was not refunded to me but was instead held until the carpet bill was paid. At move out we noticed that the dryer vent did not go anywhere but instead dumped the dryer lint between the two floors. That has to be a seriously fire hazard and violate fire codes.

I would not wish this apartment complex on my worst enemy. Park Ridge Estates was apealing initially because of the large living room space and the affordable rent, but my boyfriend and I experienced issues day one of moving in. Firstly, maintenance is a HUGE problem there. Things are not fixed properly the first go round. When we first moved in, our breaker box had been painted over. Our outdoor storage closet door was misaligned and could not be opened. The carpet was dingy with stains. Electrical wiring was completely jacked up. The same things broke constantly. Particularly the toilet, the sliding laundry door and our bedroom door. Our bedroom door split apart on three seperate occasions. Instead of replacing the door, the maintenance staff just caulked it and it would happen again. It got to the point where we gave up and just taped it together until we moved out. Our "Walk-In" closet isn't walkable once it's full of hanging clothes. Storage space was super limited. One day our water heater exploded while my boyfriend and I were both out of town. Our cat was home though. They entered and removed the water heater and put industrial fans inside our apartment and left a note saying they'd follow up on Monday. Our downstairs neighbor fortunately called us to let us know what had happened. I wasn't mad at them entering during an emergency but that they'd not contacted us after. They also clearly traumatized our cat because she has not been the same around strangers since. We were promised a carpet cleaning for our trouble and never received one. One day we got notice while we were both at work that they were going to power wash our porch and that we needed to remove all property off it. Pretty much EVERYONE was at work. They proceeded to power wash with bleach. We spent the next few weeks watching our plants wither away. The complex gym is very sketchy. It faces the woods and it's below the office. It's pretty secluded with no lighting outside of it. When you leave, you're walking into darkness. There is no sense of community. The complex staff seem apathetic. The community events they host are few and far between and usually during working hours. When I'd go to pick up packages from the office, sometimes the staff members seemed relunctant to thoroughly search through the packages for mine. Overall, our experience with Park Ridge was disappointing. I feel like as long as they are getting their monthly checks, they care very little about their residents. It's unfortunate because it has great potential to be much more.

Worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. Had Toxic Black Mold and yet the front desk wouldn't hire an inspector. When we finally hired one, they tried to strong arm us to get out of the lease and not sue them. We decided to just leave and give them a poor review as it wasn't worth the frustration to take them to court. The main office manager, Rita, was very mean to our faces and even called us liars when we told her about the black mold. We had to give them the actual printouts, of which we made copies of course, and then they finally said they'd hire someone. They offered to move us to another unit, but that unit was in a worse condition than the one we were living in. It had obvious mold signs and a warped fireplace(which could be seen on the inside and outside of the building) Stay Away if you value your, and your loved one's, health. Not worth any money and their attitude will make you wish you had lived in the gutter over living in this hell hole. 0/10 would not live here again. Only rating 1 star because it's the lowest google will allow.
