Not worth it! - Elevators: there are two, one gets stuck frequently, one does not go down to the basement level. The doors do not open automatically, you have to pull one door and then slide another metal gate to get in, which is incredibly inconvenient if you are carrying anything. - Bike Room: if you have a bike, you will need to carry it up and down stairs to get in and out of the building - why put a bike room in such a terrible location? - Location: right next to a bus that goes to Midway Airport, but otherwise, to get downtown need to transfer 2-3 times; to take University busses need to walk at least one block; difficult to get to grocery stores if you don't have a car. - Building "Emergencies": for some reason, there are emergency water shutdowns from 9am-5pm almost once a month. we are rarely given more than a half day's notice. - Electricity Bill: used to be billed by square footage of the apartment, now the building has switched to flat rate based on number of rooms, which is DOUBLE what I used to pay! - Management: each manager has always been friendly, but there have been about 6 managers here in the last 1.5 years - they keep quitting or finding different jobs - Exercise Rooms: machines are poor quality, but what do you really expect - Kitchen: water pressure is low so difficult / time consuming to wash dishes (no dishwashers); counterspace is limited Better to spend money on an apartment in central Hyde Park. If you are hesitant because it adds 5-10 minutes to your commute to the University, the trade-off is very very worthwhile.

New management is turning this place around.
