I moved into Pleasant View last summer. It has been a very 'pleasant' year. I've read past reviews and I'm not sure if it's under new management but I've had no real problems here. There have been some times I needed something fixed and the repair men are always prompt. Usually coming the same day or, if the request is sent in via e-mail at night, they show up bright and early the next morning. There was a lot of hassle when moving in as some new lady screwed up our move in dates but even that was fixed pretty quickly and I haven't seen that lady since so I think they rightly fired her. I'm always seeing them make improvements to the grounds- painting, planting flowers, etc. And the units seem to be segregated based on the tenants. My building seems to be more family oriented as we have a young son. The building behind ours seems to be mostly elderly couples and the one in the very back seems to have the rambunctious college kids. I like my apartment and I don't see myself moving anytime soon.

As I review the comments posted before mine, I realize they are all pretty dated; at least a year has passed since the most recent one. Pleasantview has completely changed for the worse within this past year. The caliber of residents has declined significantly, as well as the upkeep of the community. Police cars are often seen responding to disturbances and the one Piscataway Police Officer in the community we no longer see walking his dog so we believe he has moved. This may be an indicator that the courtesy Police vehicles we used to see patrolling the area have left with him. The maintenance staff responds when they choose and the office manger should begin paying more attention to her tenants than her cigarettes she can be found outside her office most of the day smoking. She lacks the managerial skills necessary to run such a community. The corporate office is no better at assisting tenants with problems so the bar must be set pretty low. The bottom line is that for several reasons including lack of safety, cleanliness and help, we have decided to move on.

My wife and I needed a furnished place to stay for only a few months. We were provided a great two bed room, totally furnished apt. with covered parking! Very, very helpful.
