The management just want your money, and they are 100% crooks who try to make money with all kinds of dishonest tricks. The management are all women with huge attitudes who were spoiled as princess when they were young, and who hate their current low pay dead-end jobs. Don't give them your real social security number. There is no move-in deposit to lure you into signing their contract, they might even give you a move-in bonus, but the catch is they usually charge everyone who move out 1600 bullshit carpet/wall paint damage fee, which they can offer you to negotiate down to 1300. The only positive is that it's close to bus. The noise is terrible and there are tons of cockroaches and ants. They also write fake positive reviews on this site.

Place might look good from outside... they are all ladies in managment who seem to be really nice when you are moving in but after that they will try to get money from you for everything. When a work order is needed they"ll come days after and maintanance guys don't even know what they are doing.... they are really bad at their job. Apartments don't have good insulation... when summer hot, winter cold no matter if your ac or heater is on. Water and electricity expensive. They just don't care about residents needs. All people I know from these apartment complex think just the same as me and complaint about everything I just said... and they are just waiting for their lease to expired to move out. Not a place to leave happy.... ah!!! They bother you for everything... they'll try to get in your life as deep as they can. So, if you are planning to come to these crap apartments be ready to see your money in their pockets every month.

I have lived here for 1 year and have really enjoyed it. I have a 2 year old and none of my neighbors have complained about the noise that a 2 year old will make. I am the loud neighbor and everyone has been very courteous. I have asked for several minor repairs and they have always come within a day or two. I also once asked for an emergency repair of a leaky water heater at 11pm and they were here within 1/2hr and fixed it. I have not had much interaction with the management, Margot and Ann, but they always give me my packages, and they seem nice. The security is very good here, I have never had a problem, and I don't see any sketchy situations. In fact I know that several police live in this complex so that I am sure helps the security situation. Overall I think this is a great place.

The management at Poplar Place is rude, unprofessional and uncaring. I have a friend living there and she can not wait for her lease to be up. She has had trouble with bugs and repair requests are not completed in a timely manner. The leasing staff is uncaring, unfriendly, uncooperative and rude.
