I have lived her for over 2 years and am very happy. I haven't had an issues with either the safety or people that work here. The management staff is awesome. I am not sure why people complain, but if you are nice to someone-they will be nice back. They have always been extremely helpful (thanks Allie and Amber). Work orders get done same day or next day. I recommend this complex as it's very economical and very close to many nice areas. The parking is what it is...So your friends have to walk 100 ft..big whoop..my friends do it all the time and don't complain.

I have lived in these apartments for a few years and never had a problem. It's new construction (2008) so when we moved in there were a few issues, but maintenance fixed them as soon as they were reported, some times the same day. This complex is for the 30's crowd; the pool is not a glamorous Uptown scene, but it's quiet and relaxing. To address some other bad reviews: (1) parking - this complex is structured like a mid-rise with a central garage; there is always a spot for residents to park, and there is ample uncovered parking in the lot below for guests. (2) construction - let's remember that this is an apartment, not individually owned condos; therefore, the construction is apartment grade. I challenge you to find an apartment where you never hear your neighbors, and here, I have very few complaints. The only issue I have with this complex is that the office closes at 6:00 in the summer and 5:30 in the winter, making it difficult to pick up packages outside the weekends; however, I have gotten the office to leave packages in my apartment for me during the day when it's an emergency, and they otherwise keep great hours on Saturday and Sunday. The location is perfect is you want to live close to the Tollway and/or Addison without paying twice as much to live in a dump in Addison Circle.

I will start by saying that this isn't going to be one of those lame biased reviews where I trash the apartment for one dumb thing. I am going to be honest and tell you the pros and the cons. First I'll give you the good. The apartments themselves look very nice. The interiors are very well designed. The kitchen hardware is new and very stylish. The apartment is very modern and you can feel confident that anyone you bring over will tell you your place is very nice. Also, there is covered parking which every resident gets and it's included. However, this is kind of a con too. The apartment will give you a sticker to put on your car and they will tell you that if you don't have that sticker you will absolutely get towed for parking in the parking garage. However, as with many things, they don't back up what they say and many a time I came home from work to see several spaces on my floor (1st floor) taken up by non-residents and I never once saw a tow truck tow a car at this property. The apartments are in a good location to access things and if you go to Brookhaven College you can literally walk to class. The apartments are pre-wired with ethernet and you can only choose ATT Uverse as your cable provider...which I guess can be a pro or con depending on what you like. Now the bad. I can honestly say the only bad thing about this place is the management. A lot of the things they lure you in with are never backed up with actions. For example, it is a pet friendly community but they tell you that they take people not picking up after their pets very seriously. However, being on the first floor my patio was a litter box. I complained several times in person and finally wrote an email to management. The problem was resolved for a few months but the rest of the 7 months left in the lease were full of pet excrement. The next issue was the parking garage situation I mentioned earlier. Lastly, you are required to give a 60 day notice before you move out. This is pretty typical at all apartment complexes. However, Prairie Crossing does not send out notices telling you that you need to give a notice, which is not like other apartments. Every other apartment complex sends you a reminder. In the end, I ended up giving my notice 5 days late. So they wanted to tack 5 days on to my lease. When I argued they said I was bound by the terms of the lease. I told them that I was quite alright with that but then mentioned that they don't hold up their end because people don't pick up after their pets and they don't do anything about it and they don't tow non-residence who park in the garage like they said they would. Also, to add insult to injury, I found someone vandalizing the apartment one time and called the cops and basically saved Prairie Crossing a bunch of misery and how do they repay me? They shake me down for 5 days of rent because I turned my notice in 5 days late. That's my review. Take it or leave it. It's not a bad place but has bad management which makes it bad. The manager is Brad by the way. When you address a problem with him all he will tell you is "I'm sorry you feel that way". The leasing agents were always awesome though. Amber was our agent and she was always helpful.

I recently moved out of Prairie Crossing just shy of two years and would overall recommend this property to anyone looking in the area. Let me note here...the only reason I moved out, was so I could be closer to work and I moved to another Lincoln property. The apartments have open layouts, nice updated kitchens, good sized balconies, and GREAT Location! After reading some of the reviews after I moved in I got alittle concered when I read about people being charged for the carpet, etc. Well, I can honestly say that I was holding my breath last week when I opened my final move out account balance and to my suprise, i'm getting a refund! If you take care of the apartment and do the normal maintenence you shouldn't have a problem with getting some deposit back or not owing them any money. I never really had to deal with the office staff very often but everytime I did, they were pleasant. Amber leased me my apartment back in 2009 and to my knowledge, is still there today! That says alot in regards to leasing agents at most properties in DFW. I've lived in three properties since i've moved to Dallas in 2008 and I can say that I personally had the best experience here. Yes, you are going to hear your neighbors....Yes, not everyone will clean up after their pet....Yes, people drive like maniacs in the parking garage. But come on people.... you live in an apartment community where everyone comes from different backgrounds and has different priorities. I didn't see any issues that I haven't seen at other apartment complexes. Hope this review helps you apartment seekers!

I have been in this apartment since November. Yes there are a few moans but tell me an apartment complex that doesnt cause problems. Yes you lose signal on your cell phone when driving through the multi level garage. But is that really an issue? Plus you shouldnt be on your phone anyway. The looks people give you when your drive round the corners always amuse me. Like im doing something wrong by driving round a corner. I have a top floor loft, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances for under $1000 a month. Theres no where else this close to Dallas that you can get that. Believe me I looked. Being fined $75 for parking in a poorly marked reserved space wasnt enjoyable. But 4 out of the 5 office people have been more than helpful with any issue I have had. I have neighbours on both sides and I can barely ever hear them. Also once a month they make breakfast on Saturday mornings. Once a month they hold happy hour nights at different venues with free food. Im looking forward to the summer as no doubt they will make the most of the pool and gas grill that is open to use for residents. All in im more than happy with this place. Positives out weigh negatives 5 to 1.
