I strongly urge you to reconsider if you plan to move here. My husband and I currently live at Prairie Lakes and have for the past year. Management and ownership has changed since we first moved in, and since JVM has taken over, we've had a horrible experience. We now have a spider infestation in our unit and it has not been treated seriously. We have spotted numerous brown recluse and have asked several times for an exterminator to come out, but when we visited the office to confront management, we learned that office staff had never actually added us to the schedule to receive treatment. The spider problem is now out of control, even after an exterminator has visited, and I feel uncomfortable living in our space. My husband has even found a spider crawling on his neck one day while cleaning our apartment. We are very clean people but our unit has seen more spiders in the past few months than I have ever seen in my life. Management has stated that it must not be a large problem because we're the only complaint they've received. However, after speaking with several of our neighbors, we've learned that this is a larger problem outside of just our unit. Throughout all issues, management has been extremely rude and nonchalant. They have even gone as far as to lie to my husband, saying that the exterminator expects his treatment to take up to 14 days to take effect. My husband and I called the same exterminator that visited to check the facts and found out the treatment should go into effect after 48 hours! We have heard from several of our neighbors and even the maintenance staff that they are displeased with Prairie Lakes and its staff. If their own employees are speaking out against them to residents, you know it's bad. I understand if you fall in love with the layouts and units, they do look nice. But be careful in your decision!

Apartments Look nice but that is about it. The walls are thin so you can hear everything. The shared corridor is louder. I knew every time someone was leaving or entering their apartment regardless what level they lived on. For the amount of space you get it is expensive. Staff is ok depending on who you get. I had some rude staff but that should not expand to those who where very nice.

My fiancée and I applied to Prairie Lakes and the guy in the office that we were denied because our credit score was not an 800 and that we needed an 800 credit score to live out there. Between the both us as a couple our average is good. Did not know and hadn't heard of a complex needing a specific credit score rating to lease. They didn't even do the employment verification just straight denied us. If your a minority I would really consider staying somewhere else.

I lived here for a year, I was very excited to move into this complex because of the great local and awesome features of the apartment. Loved the pool area and work out facility!
