My wife and I have lived here from June of 2012 until our lease is up in May of 2013. When we started out, this place was wonderful, a little spendy, but very nice apartments, courteous staff, and quick-responding maintenance crew. As time has worn on, the luster has faded: first the good manager left, and the office staff has gotten less and less responsive since then: leaving early, arriving late, and locking up the office during the day, making it next to impossible to not only reach the staff, but also collect packages. Oh, and they won't contact you when you do get a package in. The maintenance staff is good, but they're far to quick to dismiss a serious problem in the building: it's heating system. It gets hot here. Really, really hot during the winter because it's on an old boiler system, and for some reason, they don't deem it necessary to look into temperatures in apartments staying above 80 degrees both during the day, and at night. When asked about this, the maintenance staff has repeatedly shrugged off our concerns stating "that's communal living for you." We wanted to like this place, and like the other posters (from 2 and 3 years ago) we agree that this place --used-- to be awesome. But now: it's simply not worth the money, or the inconvenience of the office staff here. -Note: the "free internet" is a joke. It's used (abused) by far too many residents, and can barely transmit webpage data. You won't be able to rely on it.
I spent three months at the Regency while doing a nursing assignment at the hospital. I was put up in a three-bedroom townhouse and it was really nice. The management was very nice and helpful. LOVED the indoor pool and sauna since I was there in the winter! The complex itself isn't all that close to any shopping or restaurants, but St. Cloud isn't that big so it doesn't take long to get anywhere. I did feel it was a little on the pricey side for the townhouse, given that it was a rental. You could buy a place and pay less for what you rent the townhouse for. But for temporary housing, I thought it was really good and got the job done.
