OK so I just moved in a couple weeks ago but here is my opinion of the place so far. I will start with the good things first. The apartments are spacious and have a good layout with lots of windows. They are located right next to many different stores on western ave which is convenient. They do have a pool and tennis courts as well. Now the not so good. The majority of the tenants are Indian. Many barely speak english and have there own separate culture and language. This means if you are not Indian you will be somewhat of an outcast. Second, the people at the office seem rather incompetent. They lost my payments, transfer you around a lot, etc. The fitness room is tiny and really not worth it unless you want to run on 1 of the 2 treadmills they have. No free weights or decent machines. Now this might all be bearable if the rent was not so high. They call these luxury apartments which is laughable, at least in my older unit. I will finish my lease and move.

I lived in the Regency Park apartments for 2 years and was very pleased with the maintenance of the grounds and apartments, and with the snow removal (very important in Albany, NY). Reading the previous review, it looks like the people didn't want to pay the full rent and sub-let from messy people who had trashed the apartment and illegally hooked up a satellite dish, which is hardly the fault of the apartment management. The two years I was there, the management was very responsive to any issue, including fixing my air conditioning on a Sunday. The location is good - a straight drive into the city or about 10 minutes to the Albany NanoTech center. There was very little noise from adjacent apartments and the apartments are arranged such that you are not looking directly into anyone else's windows. I recommend Regency Park if you are looking for a reasonably priced apartment in the Albany area.

After looking at their "last available unit" in June, my husband and I opted for a sublease I found through craigslist. The property owners agreed to clean the apartment before we moved in but when we arrived there was mold growing on the windowsills, in the bathroom, the carpets were in terrible shape, and the kitchen reeked of Indian food. I was more than annoyed that I had to bleach and clean everything myself being three months pregnant. Recently we wanted to have dish-network installed. There is already a satellite hook-up so we figured there would be no problems. Wrong again - the property manager claimed to have not known about the previous satellite and would not let dish-network make the proper adjustments for the install. Furthermore, Regency lied about the cost of utilites. They have a deal with National Grid that allows them to charge for Gas in the summer when it is NOT being used. 35$ a month for a service we are not even using. All of these things have made me more than happy to be leaving in 2 months.

WAY OVER PRICED, COME ON ARE YOU SERIOUS! Almost 1000 a month for a base model.
