I lived here for almost 2 years and had very little to complain about until the last couple of months. We had some neighbors move in who 1.) thumped and yelled so loudly we had to call the cops on them twice and 2.) were the worst chain smokers in history and would smoke the worst smelling homemade cigarettes one could imagine. Unfortunately management could not guarantee that smoke from their apartment would not come into ours so we decided to move. It is truly too bad because up to that point this place was an absolute dream. The grounds are really nice, our neighbors were perfect, and management was easy to deal with. Also, with the Rockaway Mall just down the street as well as Target, Walmart, Costco, Shoprite, and tons of other stores, the location of this place is great. It is also close to the Dover train station which I used to commute from several days a week. Although the train ride is lengthy, I didn't mind it one bit because I knew I'd be coming home to such a nice, comfortable place. With it's laid back feel and quiet atmosphere, this place felt like home. I really am sorry that those neighbors had to mess up such a good thing. PS - Parking here is the best you'll ever find at an apartment complex.

My husband and I have lived here for almost 1 1/2 years and although we will both be commuting to NYC/Newark next year, we have decided to stay. It is rare to find such a well-kept and comfortable apartment complex for the price in NJ. Our building is mostly very quiet, we have had to call maintenance only once for a leak in the ceiling and they responded within a few days (and you could barely tell they were there, except for the fact that the leak was fixed and has not reappeared). There is plenty of parking, and I love the view and the trees. We feel we are in the woods even though we are only a block from the mall. The inside of our apartment is nice and the appliances in the kitchen work fine. The other tenants in our area of the complex seem to mainly be families and older adults (as opposed to the college crowd at our last apartment). Pros: 1 BR is a good size (not overly large, but roomy enough) Beautiful setting (love the trees and occasional wildlife) Convenient to malls and supermarkets Dover train station is not too far away Parking! Pleasant neighbors Responsive maintenance (as far as we can tell) Balconies/patios Central Air/heat Cons: The winding road going up the hill has parking on both sides, which makes it difficult to navigate unless you actually observe the 15 mph speed limit and pay attention!
