I have been living in a 3 bedroom apartment here for about 7 months now and I absolutely love it. the office staff is very friendly as well as the maintenence. they take care of things very quickly. I am an avid online shopper and they offer a very unique and reassuring service for receiving your packages and keeping them in the office for you till you get them. I did have a small ant problem when I moved in, but they sprayed the apartment and I haven't had a problem since. the apartment is beautiful. I love my big white brick fireplace in my livingroom and how huge the bedrooms, closets, and living room is. Now on to the bad: there are pet waste dispensing stations everywhere stocked with doggie poop bags and a place to throw them away, but it seems like NOBODY uses them! it's not the leasing office fault, but it is annoying that I have to use a flashlight at night to avoid stepping in poop while walking my dog. Everyone uses the "exit only" gate as an entrance on the miller side of the complex and they practically hit me trying to enter while I'm trying to properly use the gate and EXIT and then they have the nerve to give me dirty looks! maybe a sign should be put up for those annoying people that can't follow rules. only select apartments have a wahser and dryer, but the washer and dryers are so small its almost hysterical. The biggest issue is the price! the apartments used to be the fair price of $740 for a 2 bedroom, but since Mark Taylor has taken over the price has been raised drastically which is awful because once my lease is up I was wanting to move to the 2 bedroom apartment here and now I can't afford to. I have already found a lot of apartments in my price range with a washer and dryer in unit, but I will be very sad to leave these apartments when my lease is up.

Not a great living experience. Starts off nice and you are happy with the location, then as time passes, not so much. The patios are fairly useless on most units since they all face one another and Mark Taylor prohibits adding privacy shades to the railing, so, no privacy once you open a window shade. The buildings are old and barely maintained, get ready to call maintenance every week with something new. Dogs and cigarette smokers run this place, with feces and butts everywhere you look. Can't control the litter but can control the privacy? Ha, this place charges a lot of rent, you'd think it would be better

I am very upset with the Management of Scottsdale Springs (Mark-Taylor). I had lived there for over a year and never had a problem, always been a good tenant without having any complaints and always paid rent on time, that's why I was extremely upset with management after they evicted me from my apartment after something my roommate of 3 only weeks did. I had just extended my lease to another 12 months after already being there 12 months. Also had a new roommate since the other one left once the other lease was up. After he was there for about 3 weeks he had a big accident with his car on the property and damaged some of the property with his car. He failed to report the damages to anybody (including me) and within 3 days was caught by the police. After I found out about the incident, I was told that not only would he be evicted, but since I was on the lease with him, I would be held just as responsible as he was, so I was being evicted as well because that's the way a 1 way lease works, which I understand. However, I now found out from other apartment managers and real estate agents that in a situation like that, the management could have given me the option of renewing another lease with the company, since they knew I was completely innocent and even had my roommate vie for me that I had nothing to do with it. But at the time all the manager told me was that this is the way the book says, and that she had to abide with the rules. So technically speaking she legally did the right thing, but she could have went above and beyond to work with me on renewing another lease in order to keep me as a tenant. I am very upset about this whole situation and every other apt manager I told this story to has said in a situation like that, that they personally "would be able to work with me" on keeping me there and out of the situation of an eviction.

Have had a roach problem for months. Over a dozen visits from exterminators, two bombings, and still the problem persists. I find the experience to be utterly disappointing, and am currently looking for a new apartment while still having six months on my lease.

If you have a problem with your neighbors pets barking or not picking up after their dogs, don't worry about it because the management just does not care! I have brought to their attention people who can not control their dogs barking and now for over 6 months they still will not act on this issue (they keep saying were working on it, I was told by 4 different personnel that they went there and talked to the owner, maybe they should just take the dog and walk it for the owner instead of sending letters). I keep hearing were going to talk to them and send them letters about the dog barking on the patio. Now I am told I have to call night security to get them to file a report, so as to make a case for them. I have now given up on any help and I will wait until my lease expires and move out. Look at the buildings the paint is coming of them and has been so for over 6 months. Whats that say about the maintenance? I would say keep looking for a new place to live.
