Still currently live here. Pros: * Great move in specials. * Very friendly neighbors. * Great spacious floor plans. * Friendly office staff. * Beautiful pool area... but it is missing a hot tub! Cons: * Parking, barely any guest spots. * Only get one garage clicker. If you request one more (for 2 adults with 2 registered cars), they charge $50. I don't think this is fair since rent isn't exactly cheap. * Very slow maintenance (thus far, waiting a month for a few things to be fixed). Overall I feel safe in this neighborhood and it really is in a great area... so for that reason alone... the pros outweigh. They just need more guest parking!

I wish I could give it less than 1 star. If you don't mind COCKROACHES or PALMETTO BUGS or ANTS this place is awesome! If you are ok with mold in the ventilation ducts this is also the place for you. Good spacious layout, nice paintings on the walls. At night when ROACHES come out they walk all over the walls, ceilings and all over your food in the kitchen like apples or bananas. Also they walk everywhere so they look for food on your clean dishes by the sink. They walk around and hang out with their other roach friends. Maybe you can be friends with these disease filled critters and well St. Tropez in Plantation is cool! Last night one was in my bed! walking on my sheets right before falling asleep :) It was great I slept like a baby Zzzzzz..... If maybe they bother you a bit, call the office they will help but only on Tuesday when the extermination company comes. Then you have to wait all day for you to talk to them directly and tell them where the problem is, but the office will help, they are nice. Keep in mind when they exterminate it's not like they die immediately, it's a process so maybe in a few months the bugs will be gone :) Regarding the MOLD, they just sent somebody to change the grill. The exterior grill is NOT the problem. It's the ducts filled with mold inside. I talked to the manager she said sometimes in the community there are rats but not really roaches. Yea maybe some but it's not really a problem. Sure, just a few is ok! I'm breaking my lease, I have to pay 2 months penalty. DISGUSTING! SPACIOUS, BRIGHT, NICE OFFICE, 2 POOLS, TENNIS COURT. Who can live and function when your kitchen and home have pests? A REVIEW A FEW YEARS BACK SAYS: ROACH MOTEL! *NOTHING HAS CHANGED

One year flew by here. Sad to leave it as we are moving out of FL. Beautiful location and landscape, spacious units [we were in a Seville and loved it], close to markets/shops/freeways. Would love to be back. Office staff very helpful, special mention deserved by Eileen and Kathleen!

I have been living here for the past six months and my husband and I love it! The parking has not been a problem for us (and we have three cars!), the office and maintenance staff are great, and the property is beautiful. it is really kept nicely. It is a very dog friendly community and all of my neighbors are wonderful. We really enjoy living here. There are several children in the neighborhood and they are all polite and play together outside (imagine that!) We do not have one of the upgraded units and we have not had any maintenance issues. Every time I have called for a minor concern, it was handled promptly and with urgency. The community feels safe and everyone is polite and attentive. I would definitely recommend this community to a future renter.

My wife and I moved in a month ago, and are very happy with everything. The apartment is beautiful, the grounds are beautiful, and the office staff has been very good for us. Specifically Lucia has been very honest and helpful. When a small issue arose, (which is always going to happen when you're trying to satisfy hundreds of residents, all with different expectations) Lucia was there to resolve it quickly. Lucia, Eileen and Kathleen are all well beyond competent/professional and have all been friendly to my wife and I during our interactions. I think people bring a lot of their own problems and expectations into their interactions with staff. I have no problems with maintenance, as all of my move-in requests have been fixed to my satisfaction in a timely manner. They have even gone above and beyond to satisfy our picky needs. This is due to good teamwork and follow through of office and maintenance staffs working together. We have not been forgotten about, but we try to be respectful and temper our expectations. We realize that we are not their only residents... I will say the parking is less than perfect and to me does not appear to be monitored at all. The SAME residents take up all the SAME guest spots and even park in the empty units' driveways EVERY night. There are never spots for true 'guests' after 6 pm. NEVER. Our driveway is constantly partially blocked in at night. I should not have to call in for this. I thought the parking lot was monitored and these cars would be booted or towed, at least that is what it said in the agreement I signed. This is just not being done. It is sad that people cannot just follow the rules they voluntarily signed up for, but management should be ticketing or towing these cars. You either have to tow or ticket ALL, or tow or ticket NONE. You cannot let these people get away with it for months, and then just start towing when someone complains. That is not fair to anyone. These parking rules need to be applied consistently, all the time. People need to know if they are where they are not supposed to be, they WILL get a ticket. Residents pay for this monitoring service, so USE IT! Trust me, they are not monitoring this place at night. If you want dated photos of violators, I'll provide them. Or just take a look yourself between 8pm and 8am. The trash pickup is sort of disgusting, as residents leave open, smelly trash bags stuffed to the brim strewn all over the street and sidewalks 2 days a week. Critters routinely rip open trash bags left out overnight and leave trash spread out over the property. People get sloppy and a little careless with their trash. There is no organization or sanitation at all, and not enough people clean up after their dogs. The city does a good job of cleaning up people's mess, but for that overnight or that morning, the place can be a little gross. Those are the 2 negatives, and they are not deal breakers. I assume nearly EVERY single living community you find will likely have these same issues. Those aside, the place is one of the prettiest in Plantation. Apartment layouts are GREAT, and quality is much better than most in plantation under 2k/month. The garage, large walk in master closet and 3 story layout make the apartment incredibly spacey. The grounds are well kept and attractive. A dog park is in the works for this year. They even got all new pool furniture in this morning for the pool area, and it is awesome! The residents are overall educated, employed and friendly. Many of our neighbors introduced themselves and welcomed us, and to our experience the staff here is superior. Perhaps we got lucky, perhaps St Tropez chose to spoil me and my wife. But our experience has been very positive, and a 100% change from the complex I came from. This is a good place to live and we trust the staff is working to make it better!
