I've lived here 3 years and have never had a problem. It's quiet with the exception of kids running in the halls every now and then, management will send notes bi monthly with community announcements and asking parents to ask their kids to stop running, any time I needed anything it was taken care of within a week (unless there is a problem with hot water or heat, which has happened only once and they came right away). I've been lucky to live in a building that's quiet, nice neighbors. I feel safe here and would like to stay as long as my rent doesn't go up $20 a year...not a lot of money, but I'm a college student working part time.

Although I liked the location and convenient of it being close to work and shopping areas. I disliked the apartments itself. The washers don't do its job. I put clothes in and pour detergent on top, (i don't over flow the washers) when the cycle is done, you can still see some of the detergent on the clothes. (they need better washers and dryers) The parking lot that I park my car has no lines whatsoever, so there could be 1 car parked in two lanes. My upstairs neighbors throw their cigarette buds on the grass and when the wind blows, it blows onto our patio (i'm on the garden level) They sent out a letter telling residents to stop doing this, but it still continued. Until I complained to them (residents not managers). They finally stopped. Their maintenance is pretty fast. We had a leak coming from upstairs into our kitchen and they got a guy out their in 30 min to check the place out, but it took them 4 days to come in and repaint the ceiling. Due to the water damaged the ceiling started peeling off. Last time we needed to replace a stove, they came in and placed the old stove on top of our carpet, leaving a square stain, so they had to come in and clean the carpet. Rent goes $20 up a year. I honestly think that if you're going to spend $800 to $950 on a one bedroom, look somewhere else. Closet doors don't work so well. They need some type of water softner because water residue built up rather quickly in tubs and sink. You can't control the temp in your apartment. They have to turn up the heat and in the winter, if it's about 30 degrees outside, they turn up the heat so high it gets too hot in the apartment, which leads up to open our windows. Then when it gets below 0, they don't turn on the heat so it's super cold. So its always either too hot or too cold. and the air conditioner is so loud I can't even hear someone talk to me from 7 feet away.

Avoid building 3585... We were lied to when we signed our lease. While signing our lease I asked if construction would be completed prior to me starting again at University (Sept 1st). This was not adhered to and the building next door took another 1.5-2 months to complete-- it was still under construction mid October. Trying to study while endless back up alarms on vehicles were occuring was a complete pain. Then don't even get me started on the endless noise of trains going by.. As far as the buildings, the paint becomes marked up by any light touch of anything. Just opening and closing the door and having my backpack rub against the wall left marks. Then the noise from trains comes through even the locked doors and windows. The other issue is the air conditioning unit is as loud as a F18 Super hornet(I was a Navy Air Traffic Controller, and know), and will cool your living room, but you'll roast in your bedroom because all the other tenants shut off their ACs during the work day. The other issue is that the thermostat for the radiators doesn't work and doesn't regulate the heat at all, we either cooked in the winter, or we froze. It was only comfortable when it was below 0 temps. The other issues in the building is the constant smell of cigarettes in the halways and the smell of weed. As far as the new apartment building, once the parking lot was finished there were incredibly bright lights installed in the parking lot of building 3585 and even with the blinds firmly shut light penetrates enough to light up the entire room. So if you intend to save money by opening your windows at night, enjoy the daylight-like levels of light entering your bedroom at 2AM... This is an OK low-rent property for college students, or for recent grads looking to tackle their student loans, but this is NOT the place if you want a restful night's sleep, or you want any kind of decent view outside of your window. The only really nice amenity is the nearby Island lake park with walking/running trails, and lots of sunfish for recreational angling.

My personal thoughts: - The apartments are over priced, not as nice as the photos on the website. - My neighbors were all rude (Can't say about the other buildings). - They decided to tear down our garage in November and start building a new one that they didn't finish until end of March. Not sure who's brilliant idea that was... - Rent went up $20 after my first year. - They are not willing to work with you if you ask for a month to month lease or a short term lease. - They will promise you things to get you to sign, once you do they don't come through. I was told I'd get new appliances and carpet before I moved in due to an eviction before me. They did neither!!! After I threatened to sue over the most disgusting carpet ever, they did put in new carpet. That should have been done immediately after eviction!!!! + Location is great. Close to the freeway, close to the mall and other great shops. That's really the only positive I have, I would highly recommend looking else where.

Absolutely horrible. Me, my spouse, and my pet all became exteremly ill after moving in here. It says right on the lease "The community WAS constructed prior to 1978 and [I] received the Lead Disclosure and Pamplet." They stuffed the "pamphlet" in a move-in folder and I blindly signed the lease. Not once throughout multiple tours I took, nor talking with Office Managers Kat & Deb was anything about Lead EVER mentioned. Doctors could only attribute our symptoms to that of one going through lead poisoning. The drains get backed up all the time due to the 1970's clay piping that the main sewer line is constructed of and was never replaced. There have been mornings when I woke up to shower only to find out there was no hot water. You pay a pet fee, but will get yelled at by residents for simply letting your dog pee on the grass. Stay away from these people!
