Moved from VA to here with never seeing it in person and everything was exactly as described from online to phone calls w/ office staff. The staff even took pics of our exact apt and sent them to us upon our request. Our apt was ready upon our arrival, clean and had fresh paint and new carpet. A very quiet and very clean gated community.

I give this place an F ! I went to Summer Park to get some information. This hispanic young guy was sitting at the desk. I didn't notice him and he says "Come here". Im thinking ...Why didn't he get his lazy butt up and greet me? Then I asked for information and he gave me bare minimum. I had to ask about everything. A brochure and a tour. He didn't even take me on a tour. He didn't even want to tell me about amenities. He didn't do squat. Not to mention he is texting in his desk the whole time I am speaking to him. This kid needs to go home to mommy and let real people work. WHAT A LOSER !!!!

This may take a while, so pull up a chair. The problems began the day we came to move in. They didn't bother to notify us until we showed up with the moving vans that our apartment wasn't ready. We wanted that specific building b/c we had Direct TV. They gave us another apartment assuring us that we could still use Direct TV there, that there were several others who had it in that building. Well, 2 weeks later we found that they had lied, we couldn't get the signal on our side of the building. And Summer Park offer no real solution. They said to get one our neighbors to put it on their patios and feed it into our apartment! Or, if we wanted to pay all the costs of transferring we could now have the original apartment now. Not, a great start. About 6 months later we had a few friends who lived 2 buildings down. They had a small fire that started on the stove. It would have been contained, however, all the fire extinguishers had expired 3 months prior and didn't work. She went threw 2. By then the flames got so high that all she could do was take the baby and run. About 3 months later a friend was thinking of moving there. We checked on the prices for her. The apartment complex was shocked when they saw we paying $200 a month less then what they were renting it for now. It was after this that they started targeting us. A few months later we got emissions done on our cars (because here in Gwinnett they have to pass to renew your Tag). However, my fiancee's car didn't pass. It was going to take $3000 worth of work to get it to pass. I'm sorry, but we didn't have $3000. We started the process with $1000 worth of work. But, then my car needed $1000 of unexpected repairs. Even though we did everything the law required, kept up the insurance and taxes on his vehicle and kept it parked (and gave them copies of all of this) they had his car towed. They told us we should have "fixed it". At this point I had fallen at work 6 weeks before hand and fractured my wrist. Being a server, that meant I was out of work for almost 2 months. So, then we had to pay $100 to get his car out of the impound. Today, we hadn't brought in our trash can yet from outside (there had also been several others outside) but, we received a $20 fine and no-one else did. Compound that all on top of the several occasions I've had to call the cops for neighbors, the fact that half the gym equipment never works, the break-ins and the general rude attitude from most of the staff makes this hands-down the WORST place I've ever lived. I am literally counting down the days until our lease is up....right now it's 182.

We transfered our lease to a larger apartment at Summer Park. Upon arrival we discovered the entire place was infested with fleas. Apparently, the previous tenants had MULTIPLE pets (neighbors let us know). Well ... we reported it and were not only told that there were no fleas and that the previous tenants had no pets, but we were accused of bringing them in ourselves. I've read of several unrepaired leaks ... they told us our ceiling was not leaking (we live on the bottom floor by-the-way). There was mold and plaster falling off the ceiling. Their response: They painted over it. Our car was towed as we were waiting for the insurance company to estimate repair costs. The car was there 3 days. We were told it was towed after sitting with a flat tire for over a week. We were left a note that we had to empty our storage unit because they didn't bother to see the lease had been renewed ... two months prior.
