TL;DR: Would never live here again, would never recommend it to anyone. Lived there for 1 year, and this is what I took from it: Pros: Tons of amenities, gym, pool, trash pick-up, etc. Cons: Thin walls - You better like your neighbors, because you are going to hear everything they do. Outdated rooms - No overhead lights in most of the bedrooms, air conditioner underpowered for the size of the apartment, meaning a higher than normal electric bill during the summer. Pets - You'd better like dogs because EVERYONE has a dog in these apartments. Also, don't expect to go for a walk without having to clean your shoes. Trashiness - The fact that they 'pick-up' your trash for you twice a week means that most of the residents just leave bags of trash on patios until its pick-up day. Management - In the 1 year that I lived there, I saw 4 different apartment managers. Meaning that's 4 different management companies. If you had any maintenance issues during a change of management teams, then you were out of luck. Air Conditioner went out and we were told it wouldn't be fixed till Monday, so we were stuck over the weekend. But hey, at least I'm paying more than a mortgage for this apartment, right? But that doesn't include the air conditioner apparently. Safety - Last but not least, my car was broken into. Granted I was partly responsible because I left a door unlocked, but when I went around warning other residents and also trying to find out if anyone had seen anything, *I* was told by the front office that this could be considered harassment and that they would notify residents. Never happened. If you choose to live here, then good luck to you, I made a big mistake in living here and would never recommend it to another person.

This place blows, everything is old, and the new management staff is late to respond to every method of communication. Plus, they are forcing me to pay two months rent after I moved out based on a 60 day notice requirement they claim is in their contract. I do not remember this, and who the f%*k can be comfortable with claiming they will not need a place 60 days in advanced. Avoid this place at all cost.

My daughter is a senior at Big Blue and lived at Summerlake for a while. A rough crowd moved in next door and played music loud, would whistle and "cat-call" my daughter on her way to her car and so on. Both my daughter and myself approached management to ask for some assistance and were assured (on 3 different occasions, mind you) that something would be done. Well it wasn't and she moved out. There are better places in Murfreesboro to live and much less, feel safe! Bobby
