I am only giving this place one star because Yelp does not have a "zero" star option. Management was more than helpful with my apartment search, but that helpfulness went out of the door quickly after I signed my lease. I noticed a mold spot on my hallway ceiling shortly after moving in and requested that someone come to take a look at it. A shoddy "spray" job was done and the mold has since reappeared. I have requested that it be resolved TWICE since then, to no avail. This winter, both windows in the bedrooms have broken. I reported these as well. It is now nearly summer and they have still not been fixed. On top of that, my apartment has flooded not once, not twice, but THREE times, with the third occurring last night. A water heater issue caused my ENTIRE apartment to flood. Maintenance literally pulled up 90% of the carpet and floorboards (save the majority of it in the bedrooms). Now, I am stuck in an apartment with no flooring while it dries for two-three days, as the management company will not pay for temporary housing. Not to mention the leasing office informed me that I am stuck with the now-disgusting carpet. Why would I want that nasty carpet after it has been soaked (and quite thoroughly this time) for a THIRD time?! It has also been dirtied heavily by the maintenance team. I suppose I will also not be reimbursed for the hit my BG&E bill will take for the six-ish constantly-running fans in the unit attempting to dry the floors. This place is a nightmare. I would not recommend it to ANYONE and I cannot WAIT until my lease is up in August! Totally not worth the ludicrous amount they charge for rent here!

The playgrounds are badly outdated, they did not seem like safe playgrounds for my children to be on. When they closed the pool for the winter they did not drain or cover it, we had an apartment that looked right over the pool, and could see ducks swimming in it, pooping in it and the water started to turn very dirty. Then a cat drowned in the pool, we think that he was walking on it while it was icy and fell in a thin spot of ice. There was also garbage floating in the pool. It was disgusting and the stagnant water started attracting a lot of mosquitoes. It did not seem like management cared at all for the residents. We moved two months ago to an apartment in Odenton, our rent is about the same but where we are now is worlds better than when we were living in Summerlyn place.

I went to pay rent today and I couldnt find the mail box, I was there by three minutes to 12 because it was a sunday and they open 12 , the lady working got there at 12 mins past time, I explained to her that I couldnt find the mail box, and i saw a man slide his rent under the door before she came in .. the rude lady had the guts to tell me , i should ve slided it also but for the fact that I am giving it to her on the 6th , means it is going for late payment ... I told her not to talk to me about late stuffs cos she came to work late and that is what they always do .
