I have lived at Sunlake going on 10 years. Its a nice small community that is quiet, friendly, and safe. I have had problems, but they are usually fixed within a timely manner. I would recommend Sunlake to anyone raising a family since it is small and friendly.

Recently changed Property Managers, so we have new office staff, maintenance and personnel. There is only one maintenance guy, so good luck with getting anything fixed. I took off of work July 24, 2014 to get my dish washer fixed, and still hasn't been completed . Actually , I haven't heard back from the office. Speaking of the office, the property manger is extremely abrasive, doesn't care about your problems with the property or your concerns. The appliance are extremely old and out dated (that's why everything seems to break down). The amenities are extremely small ... the pools capacity is about 8 people , so good luck with that. Pest control is a headache. When i first moved in , i bombed my apartment twice to make sure it was 100% move in ready and free of pest, each time about six cockroaches were seen dead. There is a moth nest at the front entrance of my apartment and right outside my small patio. i was reassured that they will have pest control come ... I'm still waiting on it. The property has gone down as well, the new landscapers does a really crummy job. When a storm passed through about 2 months ago, it knocked down part of a tree that was infested with fire ants. That tree still remains on the ground. And to make matters worst, the tree directly in front of it is infested with bees and all they did was put a monitor up. ( i really wish i can upload photos). They tow cars off the property for absolutely no reason at all. For example, they towed my car ( which is registered, insured, and operable) because it was a little dirty and deemed it inoperable, when confronted, they replied "Go to the Towing Company and prove its operable by driving it off the lot". what an total Jerk! Can't wait until October when my lease is up !! DO NOT MOVE HERE !! - A current resident !

The company that manages this property has jacked up the rent beyond what is reasonable. The property is old and falling apart and mold is a big problem here. There are no real amenities and they have never updated the apartments. This place is not worth what they are asking and they DO NOT treat the current residents with respect. I would recommend looking at properties off gornto lake where the properties are newer and have amenities to justify the price.

Do not move here. Mold is a big problem. Black mold in the walls. Won't pay moving expenses to move you to another unit or for damages caused by workers. I've had my shower totally redone , an wall ripped out, and now another wall is sitting open with black mold inside. My son and I have had sinus infection after sinus infection. Simultaneous ear infections. Our apartment isn't the only one with mold. This property is over 25 years old without updating. The owners won't update it and the place is falling apart. Especially in the kitchen. I've lived here a little over a year and they have had four maintenance managers.

I have lived there for 18 mths now and I am happy. The apartments are big and the community quiet and well hid. I have seen no more bugs than would be normal in Florida, and with good bait you won't see any. The appts. might not be as modern as some of the condo units around but I like the sense of community here. I know my neighbors personally and we all look out for one another. I would recommend this place.
