I wish putting no star was an option. This place is by far the worst place I have EVER lived. I have lived here for 10 months and it's been a horrible experience. OK, where to being? Well starting super bowl Sunday.. the fire alarms (in our apartments and outside of our buildings) have gone off at LEAST 12 times. In the middle of the night, and early morning no less. They have done nothing to actually fix the problem. I'm sure the fire department is getting sick and tired of coming out, time after time for a false alarm. The sad part is, When it goes off.. no one in the building even goes outside to see if there is actually a fire anymore. When I called the office they said "We really don't know whats going on". Umm.. Ok. So on to my next problem. We never really had a problem with neighbors until someone recently moved above us. I know these buildings are super old, but these people are ridiculously loud! It literally sounds like they are constantly throwing down weights, at late night hours to. Finally we addressed the matter with them, the lady told me to get over it because they were coming here from living in a house so they aren't used to living above anyone. How about acclimate to your surroundings. Also, The past couple of weeks we have gone out on the balcony and what looks like an entire ash tray has been dumped on our outside furniture. Finally, sick of all the banging and cigarette ashes I decided to go to the office and complain. Her only resolution was that she would "Inform the manager, and wished she had a better answer for me" We are seriously considering breaking our lease here. It is THAT bad. I do NOT by any means recommend moving here. By the way, it's over priced and they add ridiculous fee's for random things that they won't even define.

My husband and I are considering breaking our lease early to get out of this place! you pay 25 dollars for parking every month, and the water bills are CRAZY high. This month it brought our monthly expenses up to 1000+ dollars! I nearly fell out when I say our rental statement. The pet deposit is extremely high compared to other places, and so is the monthly pet rent. The valet garbage collection is a joke, and I hate that you pay for that too and they sporadically get your trash! I'd much rather just have a dumpster that I can walk to to throw the trash out. I feel nickel and dimed every month, and have never experienced this before. Move here with caution; all of these fees can bring your monthly expenses up a good 200 plus bucks. If you're on a fixed income like I am, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!

Lipstick on a pig! They are in the process of renovating the exterior of the apartments right now. They replaced the shingles but not the very obvious rotten plywood underneath it, they put up a horrible 3-4 toned paint job that makes the place look even more ghetto then it was, replaced all the signs around the complex, and tore up the landscaping. They say they are going to renovate the interior as well. But, if you are already living there then you don't get the renovation. However, if the renovations in the interior are anything like the exterior I would not expect much. But even that would be better then what I am stuck with; crumby appliances, water stains on the ceiling, walls that are crumbling/molding, and a floor that is sinking. While I understand Nashville is becoming the "it" place to live (god knows why) the rent at The Arbours is way to high for the condition of the apts, location, sq. ft., and amenities. Also, they have the additional fees that are robing their residents. High water bills, a parking fee for an unmanaged parking lot (you don't even get an assigned spot), expensive trash service from a disgruntled creepy trash man who I think is leaving upright nails at my doorstep so I walk on them if I leave my can out without trash in it, and so on. On the plus side it is right next to the highway and a major hospital. They are pet friendly and gated. But that is about it. The staff seems helpful. But, you can tell they are strained and restricted to what they can and can't do. So, I know it is the upper managements fault for the condition/state of the apartments. But, in the upper managements defense I can also see how the place would be a money pit to own. UPDATE: Broke lease early. They cleared my apartment and then took out $120 from my $300 deposit for water usage and other sub-charges. When I asked them to detail all the charges they said the were unable to do so. When I told them that I never got a copy of my sub-charge bill, they had no answer, and just kept repeating that $120 was taken out of my $300 deposit for water and other sub-charges.Rude and crude folks. I would not live there. Not worth the money and the hassles. The copious amount of negative reviews don't lie and the few positive ones are very generic and seem a little fake. Don't be fooled.

I lived in this apartment community for 3 years. The condition of the building was horrible. They raised my rent over $100 in one year, in addition to raising their rate for water. My water bill was ALWAYS over $100/month for two people. I do NOT recommend any human move in there. It's fine for dogs though. I moved out over a year ago, but am writing this review now because I am continually being harassed by people trying to get in the gate after dark, because they never removed my phone number from their gate system, and my last name starts with A. I'm the first number there for anyone that wants to call me. Last week I had a voicemail that was received at 3AM from someone that wanted to get in because he had to deliver my cocaine. It was not a pleasant sounding fellow, as you might imagine. In short, it is a trashy apartment complex, run by trashy people, frequented by trashy drug dealers. You don't want your family there. Unless you're a drug user I guess.

They charge $10/month for parking, but do not provide assigned spots. Then when you complain that people (even non-residents) are parking in resident spots that you paid for and congesting parking lots by parking behind parking spots, they say that they don't have a good answer for what to do. I have complained repeatedly, and they placate all who do complain by saying that they might put up some signs, but the signs never get posted. They also do not enforce their towing policy which is posted at the front gate. Bottom line: you pay for services not rendered, there are a lot of inconsiderate, low class people hanging around all day, and management refuses to take effective action to remedy the situation. I am a resident by the pool and playground, imagine my misfortune during the summer months.
