Resident Appreciation is DEAD at this complex. Me and my family have been tenants at The Aventine Llc for 18 months. We had originally loved living here. The problem is not the apartment. The problem is the front office manager, Vanessa. When we were to begin our lease renewal, the month had already started. Vanessa insisted we pay a month to month price for said month of $150 that month. Even though we previously had signed our lease a month later than it expired just six months ago, this time around she wanted $150 more. We told her we would be delighted to resign a lease, as we had previously done, but we would not feel comfortable to pay $150 on a whim to her. She refused this. Needless to say, I told her that it was unfortunate that she sees no value in us as good standing tenants; and, instead of thousands of dollars in rent that we pay, she would rather split hairs over $150. This woman is unpleasant and just doesn't have people skills to say the least. We are now putting a 30 day notice in instead of re-signing a lease. It is a total bummer too, as we did love the property.
