I moved in about 2 months ago primarily because of its location. It is walking distance to a supermarket, Starbucks and several shopping strips. On beautiful days, its nice to ride your bike around Mt. Pleasant and Shem Creek. I have found everyone to be really nice and dog friendly. The units come standard with granite counter tops. Now for the downside of living at the Boulevard Apartments. The convenience of living close to everything comes at a great price. The average rent here is substantially more than what you can pay for a similar apartment elsewhere. If convenience is important, then definitely stay at the Boulevard. If you want to get more for your money (ie: a 2 bedroom for the price of a 1 bedroom at the Boulevard), the Boulevard will not be in your budget.

We have absolutely loved our time here at The Boulevard! You really get what you pay for here. We love the hardwood floors and even the fixtures are amazing. The staff is awesome and really listen to our concerns. We have a husky which can sometimes make living in an apartment hard, but they just build a dog park in the back of the community, which has really made our life easier. You are within walking distance to almost anything you need and the beach is less than 5 minutes away. They host three events a month both on and off site and they are free to residents. If you love to be in the middle of the action I would really recommend The Boulevard., we love it!

Location is great, close to the beach and restaurants. Noise is really bad! If you face the road you hear cars and motorcycles all day and night. Makes it hard to enjoy nice weather with your windows open. If you face the parking garage you hear cars and car doors slamming all day. Poor construction. Everything looks nice at first glance but once you live there you realize how cheep they are made. Thin walls and floors, can hear all your neighbors. kitchen fans not properly ventilated. I have lived here since May and the work out facility is still not finished.

I have lived in the Boulevard since the end of June and love it! The construction doesn't bother me and my apartment is quiet. Everything is brand new and the leasing agents are great and everyone is very nice, laid back and professional. I walk or ride my bike everywhere. Looking forward to the amenities that are almost finished!

I would never recommend someone living here. The construction is very poor and cheaply done. Our kitchen sinks have already had to be replaced. The closet doors are the most poor design I have ever seen, with three cheap, hideous, sliding doors that have to be constantly slammed back and forth to even get an outfit together. The Beach Co. allowed residents to move in during the initial stages of construction, which was beyond miserable. The promised fitness facility is still not completed, after almost SEVEN months of tenancy. The pool is much smaller than originally promised and due to the poor location of being surrounded by a 4 story building, only gets sun for about three hours a day with the rest of the time being shaded. A negative post on The Boulevard's Facebook page was deleted, which is a bad business practice in general. It's a number one rule of thumb that businesses should not remove negative social media comments but rather actually address the issue. The restaurant that was announced hasn't even started construction, which I heard was due to The Beach Company not compromising on build-out for the space. There are still no retail stores open and I believe none of the spaces are even leased. This project/development could have been wonderful if it had been done correctly by actually completing the entire development before allowing residents to move in. But of course, the "guest suite" available for nightly rent is completed and available for a rate starting at $130/night, which is insane since there are no amenities offered that you would have at a hotel for the same price or less. If this company was honest about their shortcomings and took responsibility for the above mentioned issues instead of constantly blaming delayed permitting, appliance manufacture errors, etc., people would be more understanding and not so infuriated. I haven't met one person that is happy living here. Also, if you live here, you must enjoy doing u-turns because you can only go right out of the development.
