Amenities = 4/5 Staff = 4/5 Rooms/Accommodation 1/5 Price = 2/5 Overall = 2/5 "Fair" Amenities: The site has a pool, playground, enclosed tennis court, and decent running path/sidewalk. Its not bad but I wish it was lit at night. There is a fence but its not fully enclosing the compound and runs only along Rock Road and some of Pawnee. This leaves most of the rear buildings exposed and a large security risk. There is however a security patrol once an hour at night from 86 security. I'll touch more on this below but the washers and dryers are a problem. Additionally there are random get together for the residents. Staff: The staff at Cherry Hills is one of the better I've experienced. They are always willing to help and also have a positive attitude. They are lenient on small financial blips as they are used to military residence, due to the close proximity to McConnell AFB. Rooms/Accommodation: This is the largest let down of the line up. The rooms are in a dire need of a remodel. The style of the rooms is largely out of date, they have "refreshed" rooms these offer duck-taped kitchen drawers, painted 70s cabinets with new/overlay-ed counter tops, and new carpet. Less than thrilling is the "wood" flooring, this is actually fake laminate flooring with wood patterns. The foundation has shifted on most of these buildings so non closing/stuck doors, auto opening doors, and non allied/non opening; opening windows come as a standard feature. Down to the build of the buildings themselves are rough with corner cutting rampant throughout. The wiring is bad in the buildings, I'm surprised the buildings are not on fire as most of the wiring is from the 70s and even aluminum wiring is used in some areas. The rooms are vary drafty and hard to keep cool or warmed depending on the season. Only the top of the line apartments come with dryer and washer hook ups the rest have to pay an arm and a leg for the public ones and it takes on average $4.50 for a load due to the dryers not drying. Price: Well with the place I'm living in I think it should be a bit less, but with the close proximity to the base it saves on gas. Its by far a bit over priced after the 2nd to lowest package you can get. Note overhang and garage parking are available but at a steep price, if they have openings. Overall 2/5 Fair: I still cant get over how bad the rooms are even through my almost 2 years of living here. I'm still alive, so god must be looking out for me. Only redeeming qualities are the staff, nice amenities, and the location to the base grate for an airman only staying a few years in Kansas

Apparently everyone in my building smokes and the smell gets into our apartment through the poorly insulated walls. Management first acknowledged that smells are prone to travel between apartments, specifically under the kitchen sink, then flatly denied it after failing to resolve the issue to our satisfaction. Their corporate affiliate (BH MANAGEMENT) is even less helpful and even less caring. We have a newborn child and we have been trying to get out of our lease for months with no help from management or corporate. This place is TERRIBLE. The worst living experience of my life. If anyone out there has any advice or legal knowledge let me know. Otherwise we are going to break our lease as a last resort, Again, I emphasize, DO NOT LIVE HERE. YOU WILL DEEPLY REGRET IT. Take heed of the other reviews on this board and avoid Cherry Hills at all costs.

I see the negative comments. And I mostly disagree. For the most part we are pleased with Cherry Hills. Most of our issues are with our neighbors constant stomping on the stairs and door dings from one particular resident. I applaud Cherry Hills for the efforts of keeping the residents in the loop with information on the recent tornado that hit.

My apartment has constantly needed repairs. This summer my AC needed service every week; the end result was an electric bill near 300 dollars and an apartment that is cooled to 78/80 degrees. I have complained to the staff, but they are unable to offer any solutions. This winter my electric bill is over 300 dollars and the room temperature is 61 degrees!! I have complained and still the staff is unable to solve/fix the problems.
