Story time kiddos, gather around in a circle while Uncle Jonathan tells you about his life. I moved to Nashville from Chicago wanting to live here. I did some research on places to live and working with Jad (former manager and all around great guy) decided to choose living at the Flats at Taylor place. This was when the apartment complex was still under construction and I never had a chance to visit or do an apartment walkthrough. I took a risk and decided to become a resident at the Flats. Fast forward 6 months later and living at the Flats was probably one of the best decisions I’ve made. The apartment has all the amenities you need to be successful. Flats at Taylor has great location while being in Germantown. It is close to many restaurants and bars, as well as Midtown, Gulch, East Nashville, Downtown, I-65 and airport. The interior design of the Flats is something to behold of as well. The furnishings are very nice and luxurious in the common areas and apartment units. The couches are very chic and comfortable, the BBQ grills/outside furniture are top of the line, and they have vintage printing presses scattered everywhere to give the complex some extra charm and uniqueness. The gym is better than most hotels and other apartment options with free weights, treadmills and stretching out areas which is a plus. Even with the location, amenities, and furnishings the best part of the Flats at Taylor place is the CARES team. The CARES team (Kelly and Jon Benefield) help people like me and new residents settle in. This is an enormous help because I didn’t have any friends or family in Nashville and meeting new people is difficult. They host social events each month that range from happy hours, food events, volunteering, holiday parties, which help you to make new friends and also to make you apart of the community. I have never been a part of a CARES community team or system, but they really do want you to feel welcome and appreciated, which is a great feeling. Combine the CARES team with the responsive and helpful management team (Sara and Jessie), it makes living at the Flats very enjoyable and a great place to call home.

When I moved to The Flats of Taylor Place, I was expecting a nice place to live in a cool neighborhood that is conveniently located close to all that Nashville has to offer. Thanks to the wonderful staff, residents and amenities, my experience has been even better than I could've imagined. I can't say enough about the FTP staff. They keep they place in great shape, hired a wonderful CARES team in the Benefields' to throw great social events and go the extra mile by providing people and dog treats, coffee and a lot of friendly greetings on a daily basis. Lisa, Josh, Eric, Jessie, Sarah and the awesome newest member of the staff make up an all star team. I've made some amazing friends at FTP. From day one, FTP made meeting new buds easy by organizing social events through it's CARES team. Unlike rather lame events that I've experienced at other places, these involved local bars, restaurants and even gyms. For example, we enjoyed wine and cupcakes from the cupcake collection, did a happy hour down the street at the picnic tap and a crossfit place came and gave us a free workout. We all hang out regularly and I'm so happy to have a great group of friends in Nashville. If you're a single lady in town, you should know that Nashville's most eligible bachelor, Jonathan Chu resides on the 4th floor. He's a talented and charming lad that cooks, entertains, holds a black belt for safety purposes only and he can be found in the flats gym regularly. The amenities are the best in town. We have a gym that is so nice it will make you drop your membership, a clubroom that everyone uses for it's great kitchen, living room and pool table. The pool is going to be unbelievable when it is finished with the next month. Free wifi in clubroom. Free treats for dogs and humans in the lobby. Free coffee machine that is really nice with options for espresso and cappuccino. If you're hung up on price, know that these amenities end up saving money when you don't need to buy coffee or have a gym membership. It's also a money saver when you can stay in and have fun in the club room instead of going out. As for the review from Rob about the fire alarms at night. I was there for both that went off. Both were false alarms that were set off during the night. Unfortunately these types of things happen and when they do happen, you have no way of knowing if there is an actual danger. Would you rather not have proper equipment and sleep through a real fire, Rob? FTP is a great place that I would proudly recommend to anyone. Cheers, A Happy Resident

If you want to live in a place where random fire alarms go off at all hours of the night, and persist for hours while apartment residents are stuck out in the middle of 5th Avenue North during the dead of winter, then this architectural obscenity is the place for you!
