Apartment is in a good location but neighborhood is not a safe hood. Too pricey, make sure don't choose an apartment close to the parking. Extremely rude staff. They hung up on me during a phone call. Over priced and a run down neighborhood. Lots of stairs with no elevator or convenient way to unload groceries.

My husband and I lived here for about five months. We felt that the staff was supportive and fair during that time, and we really had no major problems. The organization was even fair about giving us our deposit back, which not usually the case for us when we rent apartments. The price is fairly expensive but the location is great. The apartments do not have a garbage disposal. I always felt safe in our apartment. Yet, the security gate did not always work. If I had to do it all over again, I would still rent from the Saulet during our temporary stay in New Orleans. I would have used a different service provider than Cox Communications though. Our biggest problem during our stay was having issues canceling our Cox service when we moved.

After living here for a couple years, I have nothing but good things to say about this property. The staff here are friendly and accommodating, often bending over backwards to fulfill requests. The property is very well maintained by a tireless maintenance crew. The amenities are great and second-to-none in the city. In terms of location, you can't beat it: from here I'm minutes away from anywhere I want to be in New Orleans. For example, my commute to work takes just 10 minutes, door to door. Finally, the units themselves are spacious, laid out well, and energy efficient. As a side-note: It's unfortunate that a few disgruntled former residents have sullied the reputation of this property. I was shocked to see many bad reviews. I have lived here over a year and have not had any major complaints. While the parking can be an issue, i can still find a spot on another floor. I have put in 2 requests for maintenance and found the fastest way for them to respond was by putting in a verbal request. I got no response when i submitted the request online. Also, i have never had a bad experience with the staff. They are always friendly and willing to help. Overall, I am quite pleased with the apartment, very happy with the location, and happy with the staff. While I have never participated in the resident appreciate parties, its nice to have them! The price is eyebrow raising, but for the location and the fact its a large beehive complex, i understand. Its a shame they only average a 2.6 rating. I would say its a solid 3.5 for sure. I only wish they would email you when you receive packages, this way I dont have to waste their time checking for them if they havent been delivered. During Hurricane Isaac, they came in and cleared out the refrigerator leaving the plates and nonperishables. That was super nice and a lovely surprise. They emailed updates regularly and I felt ok not being there during the hurricane. Overall, if you have the funds and are looking for a nice apartment in a superb area, I would recommend Saulet with no hesitation. This is the first review i have ever written online and I did so for those whose value online opinions.
