The only thing this place has got going for it is its location, and even then it's a pain in the butt. Being close to Wolf Rd. and Central Ave is nice as you don't have to go far to get to restaurants, shopping centers, etc. but it's hell when traffic is heavy. The managers in the office are the rudest people I've ever met. The one sitting next to the entrance door to the office looked at me as if I walked in off the street, then asked me what she had to do in a really snarky tone and finally dismissed my maintenance request as being overly-critical... well if I'm paying $950 for a ONE-BEDROOM apartment then I would hope I could ask for maintenance to be done. As mentioned above, maintenance does not care about your apartment. Aside from working on the grounds (which don't look too great to begin with), they're hanging out and smoking at the maintenance shack next to the rental office. I had a problem with the shower above me leaking and caused my bathroom wall paint to bubble out. Two months after filing a repair order... nothing came to. When I moved out a year later the issue still was not resolved! After the initial complaint where I called the emergency line (it was 12 am) and talked directly with Derek the maintenance manager who stopped and looked at the shower, I tried four more times but no one listened. Another thing happened during the winter when the guys were snowblowing the parking lot, they clipped the bumper of my car and even though I caught the guy doing it, he wouldn't fess up. The exteriors of the buildings are just plain ugly and depressing, with plenty of crap being hung from the railings (even though I checked the tenant's handbook and it mentioned that hanging towels and using the balconies for storage is prohibited). The interiors of the buildings are equally depressing... they try to dress it up with "nice looking" carpets and light fixtures but it all comes off as really amateurish and crappy-looking. The elevators worked half the time, as did the washers and dryers. My apartment was their standard one-bedroom with 600, yes, 600 square feet for over $900+ a month. The walls are paper thin so you can hear your neighbor using the bathroom, and if you get stuck with someone who blares the TV or music all night then there goes a night of sleep, because as mentioned before, the office staff does not care if you have a complaint! Storage space was non-existent, the windows leaked air during the summer and winter (even though they supposedly replaced them a few years ago with energy-efficient windows) so you're AC/heating bill went sky high. Also, the AC is not central air; I had only one unit in the living room so my bedroom was blazing hot. The heaters are placed directly underneath the windows so any heat will escape during the winter. The pool is very small and the "fitness center" consisted of three treadmills and a set of weights. There has been constant construction since I moved here in 2012. So every morning at 7 am, I got to hear the sweet sounds of bulldozers and dump trucks running around the parking lot, as well as inhale plenty of asphalt dust. As mentioned before, the ONLY thing this place has got going for it is the location, it's good for urbanites who like to walk to places. Wolf Rd. has plenty of businesses/restaurants to choose, and 87 and 90 are less than a mile away. Plus, it's a relatively safe and secure area; that's the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars! They try to pass these off as Colonie's premier luxury apartments... it's anything but! The final straw came when they raised my rent yet again (seems to be very common with Tri-City Rentals) and I declined a renewal of my lease. I am very thankful for moving out! The funny thing is, the day I moved out, there were about four other moving trucks fighting for the tiny space to load/unload, and three out of four of those were trucks were moving OUT! (Yes, I asked). Overall, this place is WAY overpriced for what you get!

I moved to Albany in 2013 and within the first month of my lease regretted moving into this apartment. First of all I was not told that $200 of my deposit was being kept for "redecorating" until I was signing the lease and at that point I had no other option but to agree. Second the women in the rental office are incredibly rude. Whenever I had to call with an issue I was given attitude and given reasons why it was not their responsibility to fix whatever broke. I was also not informed that massive construction was set to happen a month after I moved in. Every morning I was woken up by construction at 8am. Additionally they had my car towed for parking in a "marked off construction area" over the weekend. The cones they had put out to mark the area had been moved by a tenant so I had no way of knowing until I went to leave for work and found my car towed. Could they not have just called me or knocked on my door to have me move my car? There are a lot of Indian families living in the complex and no where for children to play, as a result there are constantly children running through the hallways and the across the parking lot. Several times I have had kids run out in front of my car because they are not being watched by their parents. The hallways always have a strong smell of curry which becomes extremely bothersome. I rented a one bedroom apartment and was told that the AC in the living room would cool the entire apartment, that is FALSE. I had to buy a portable AC to cool my bedroom because it was unbearable to sleep in. There is no way for the cold air to make it around the corner into the bedroom even with fans going to circulate the air. The heat was also just as bad, the electric heat in the living room was not enough to heat the entire living area and the one in the bedroom was either way too hot or too cold. The windows are also not well insulated letting the cool and hot air out easily. Two months before me moved out we also found that we had mice in our apartment and we were on the 4th floor. We had to have traps set for several weeks to get rid of them. For $862 a month this apartment is completely not worth it, small, no storage space, no cabinet space in kitchen, and extremely annoying to live in. In addition I moved out almost 7 weeks ago and STILL haven't gotten my security deposit back when I was told it would take 4-6 weeks. When I called to find out what the hold up was I talked to Kim who told me it was the banks problem and not hers. Save your money go elsewhere.

The windows are poorly insulated and the heating sucks, you have to pay for your own heat, one bedroom apts are $832 and two bedrooms $912. Prices are far higher compared to other apts. They keep increasing the prices every year, ridiculous.Oh yes and the Office manager Kim is discriminative
