Certainly not a place for graduate students or individuals with service dogs. They actually try to "verify" your medical paperwork--like that's not a huge HIPPA violation--and insist that you need "to register your service animal" as if the Americans with Disabilities Act and Department of Justice don't strictly prohibit landlords forcing the disabled to register their disability. If you're a grad student and teach, like I do, you'll definitely want to avoid living here. Count on University Villa giving almost no notice that they're going to enter your room at some point between 8 AM and 5 PM over an entire week, so all that grading you're doing in your bedroom? You're going to have to do that somewhere else or risk violating FERPA laws protecting your students' privacy. And don't believe the staff when they promise you that they'll only place graduate students in other available bedrooms in your suite. Got two 18/19 year old kids. If you're a U of A student (or will be one) and don't want to take my advice, then please at least take advantage of U of A's attorney office, which will look over the lease for free and advise you on its fairness. I wish I had done that before signing my lease; University Villa's conditions are absolutely unconscionable in how thoroughly the lease favors only the property. For your own sake, avoid this place at all costs.

University Villa takes pride in the quality of their maintenance and maintenance staff. Due to high volumes of after hours calls for lock outs, we require a charge for these services. It is our goal to ensure that all residents needs are met at all times. The charges for these services are to be able to verify residency and travel time for our staff.

As I write this, I am locked out of my apartment. I called the in-house security company andoes was all like "Hey how can I get into my apartment" and they informed me that I needed to contact maintenance, and it would be 50 dollars in a money order. You know, a money order. That thing you keep in your pocket for the exact amount of 50 dollars in case you have to pay maintenance to unlock your door for you. I then said politely (because this company was not run by University Villa) that I wouldn't because that was ridiculous. After 30 minutes and still being locked out I was like "I really need to get into my apartment so I'm gonna at least call emergency maintenance". It went to voicemail. Twice. I hate this place a lot don't live here Edit: 3 times and no answer

Excellent service. My friend and are handicapped seniors and the clerk who took our order took time to help us to a table. Many cudos for that gesture of kindness. Don't know of any other concession in the food court that is so customer concious. We are part of a music group and frequent the food court 2-3 times every week. We will pass the word that your store is worth a visit!!!

University Villa is honestly few of the places I feel at home. My situation was sticky one because I was doing a sublease for my friend and thought the process was going be even more difficult. To my surprise we were able to transfer the lease under my name within minutes. Thanks to the great staffs and Jorge, the manager. They were beyond helpful and took special interest in ensuring that my new unit would be ready for move in. I don't know how to thank them.
