If you need a place to live, this will work out okay. Overall, I think the one bedroom apartments are MUCH quieter, safer, and livable that the multi-room apartments. The ones with families seem chaotic and miserable. I liked that we saw a police officer drive through the complex at least once a day. We worked with Claudia to rent our apartment at the leasing office, and she was very friendly. (I have heard some negative things about a few of the other reps at the office, though.) Maintenance always came to fix things within 24 hours of my request, unless I requested a certain time/day. We even stated that the bedroom floor seemed weak, and they had a contractor come out to replace the floor. The major complaint I had about this was that we didn't know that the contractor was coming, so we still had all of our belongings in the bedroom when they came to evaluate the floor. We spoke with the manager of the property regarding this issue, and they agreed that a phone call would have been a nice addition, just to let us know in advance. They were friendly to work with on this issue, though I haven't had to deal with maintenance since March or so. As far as the area is concerned, this complex seems to have some of the better landscaping. The worst parts about the entrance to the complex are the numerous, large, repeated speed bumps. If you are not careful of the angle your car takes heading over those, no matter the speed, your suspension can easily get messed up. They had a crew come resurface the parking lots, but they really should've been repaved, though I can understand the time investment and the issues coming with that. We have never had any of our property/cars damaged by other people while living here, but I know that someone had their license plate stolen. They gave us a calendar of community events only for one month during the summer, which I would've liked each month. They do Bingo once a month, though I've never gone because I have no idea what time it starts or ends. The leasing office, gym, computer area hours suck. In my opinion, most of your residents have full-time jobs from 9-5, so having the gym or computer area open during hours that residents would be able to access them would be helpful. The rent deposit box is inside the office, so when I tried to drop off a letter stating we would not be renewing our apartment before or after work, they were closed, and they were impossible to get to. I drove to work 2 hours late just to let the office know on time, which was very inconvenient for me. The pool was almost never not filled with kids during the summer, which is great for them, but bad for an adult without kids who wants to relax by the pool or even swim. The tennis courts are not used for tennis. Skate boarding, soccer, chalk-drawings, walking, etc. are the activities allowed on the tennis courts. We tried to play tennis once, and we got strange looks and everyone started getting in our way, so we stopped going. The tennis court that actually has a net didn't have a net strap when we played, so it wasn't proper tennis anyway. If you plan on plugging anything into the walls, it's nearly impossible in our apartment unless there is a stabilizer on the end of the plug. Straightening my hair, plugging in lamps, and vacuuming have been really difficult in the most accessible spots. We have one in the bedroom that stays fairly well and one in the living room that stays, but it's one of the more annoying things about living in an apartment. QT and Publix are the clear favorites for the area as they are EVERYWHERE, but Kroger and a Racetrac are further away. Traffic in the area can get really bad at Holcomb Bridge. Like I said, this place has its pros and cons, but if you can manage a 1-bedroom, I would highly suggest not living in the multi-room buildings. It seems about 80% quieter at all times.

Annette and her new management team are great. They really care about the occupants and are committed to taking good care of the property. Over the past 4 years I have seen some ups and downs, but since the new management came in last summer (09) things are on a positive track. I would recommend a visit if you are looking in the area : )
