Beware: apartments in this complex have molding problem. They know the problem but, cover it with painting every time before a new tenant comes in. Their "collection" department also don't care about your disputes after you moved out. They have charged me for full house paint after living only 1,5 year due serious molding problem as well as poor paint job before we had moved in (by the way the countertops are in very poor quality as well as the list of other things, you need to clean them with bleach every other day otherwise you will have lots of stains on it). I disputed right after receiving the "collection" notice. They haven't responded to my dispute letter, haven't returned my calls, and finally paid what they had asked for since they gently threaten you to give all the information to some other not-so-gently collection agents as well as report this as delinquency to all credit reporting agencies. On the contrary, all the people in the office are very friendly and kind. They always try to help you with the issues you may have.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not joking. You will absolutely regret it. I moved out on May 17th the landlord said that we would be receiving our deposit back within a month. She didn't come do a walk-through with us when we turned in our keys but she assured us that everything would be just fine. So guess what I get in the mail today? A current balance of $707.57 that I owe to them. They said the following things: My drip pans needed replaced, turnover cleaning, carpet replacement, turnover blinds cleaning and utility bills that were unpaid. In the notes they make me sound like some pig who didn't clean anything when in fact I was literally on my hands and knees for the carpets and the vinyl scrubbing! I asked the landlord about the scratches on the counter, she said that they weren't a big deal and it would be fine. They say that they had to replace the entire carpet because it was: "Filthy, dog hair everywhere etc", which is impossible because I literally vacuumed it twice before taking the rug doctor to it which is one of the best steam cleaners on the market! I asked the landlord about the holes in the walls, if those would count against us/if we should cover them up, she said no and guess what we're being charged for??? They're also charging us for holes that existed WHEN WE CAME IN. They said my freezer was dirty but that's impossible, I cleaned it thoroughly. They said the outside is dirty when I swept the entire patio the day I left on the 17th! They said that the cabinets were "very dirty" and "left over crumbs" but I remember specifically cleaning them out myself because my husband and roommate forgot to. They said my kitchen sink was rusty which is NOT true! They're charging me for there being dirt in the slider tracks apparently, which is funny because I took a bleach solution to those. They said that the inside of the toilet was very dirty, that the seat was discolored, hilarious, because it wasn't that way when I left!! They wrote down that my mirror has smudges. They said there was stains on the counter and hair but again, NOT WHEN I LEFT. They said my tracks for the closet doors were dirty but I personally vacuumed the tracks so again, IMPOSSIBLE! I feel absolutely disgusted that I EVER rented from these money mongers. I really thought the landlord at Valley River Court Apartments was a stand up person but she has literally charged me for the very things she said were "no problem". This place is a complete money pit! They use cheap crap (the counters are literally painted counters. They're not even real counter tops!!!) and then charge you double the price of what it is to buy them/fix them. Seriously, if you don't want to OWE a balance when you move out and if you don't want to get promised one thing and then discover another, then do yourself the greatest favor and stay FAR AWAY from Valley River Court Apartments and Creekside Village. NOT WORTH IT!

I've lived here for about two months, and I feel I've had a great enough experience to warrant a review. Compared to my previous apartment, these are incredibly soundproofed. It's a rare occasion that my roommate or I hear a peep from our next door or upstairs neighbors at all! The two bedroom layout ended up being perfect for both of us to fit our belongings in after coming from our own apartments and moving into one. The washer and dryer and extra storage closet on the patio were a big plus that neither of us had at previous places. We've been shocked that there has been zero mold thus far after a very rainy fall, which is something we've not seen at previous apartments that we've lived in. The management is absolutely wonderful and very attentive to our needs. For a small amount of money up front, we certainly found a quality apartment where we actually feel safe living on the ground floor and safe to leave our vehicles parked across the complex on nights when the parking lot is full. Like any medium sized complex, the parking isn't the greatest, and we hear children playing in the common breezeway from time to time. But given the great way that the apartment has been working for two young career people with similar schedules, we'd recommend it to any of our friends or colleagues in a heartbeat. The staff always has something going on for tenants, most recently they had a pumpkin decorating contest and a Thanksgiving lunch that they hosted. Unlike most other complexes, they actually schedule routine safety checks and breezeway cleanings about a week ahead of time, which has made it more than easy for us to plan ahead. Don't let a few bad reviews discourage you-- CTL definitely has their stuff together and have a "tenant first" mentality. 4 1/2 stars for the great apartment and staff, only missing a half star for the parking situation.

If your looking to rent a luxury apartment... or a decent apartment, look elsewhere. I have been living here for over a year and its done nothing but go from not so great to horrible. The facilities are poorly maintained, they no longer have free rentals, the maintenance they do do, is disruptive, destructive and just plain messy. The management team is terrible. They might smile at you but, they are still saying they don't care and to leave their office. They have an excuse for everything, even no lights in the spa! How dumb is that? Other times they don't even smile, they are just plain rude. Aside from that, I have had 3 bikes stolen here and my patio things destroyed. The apartments get moldy. Be prepared for frustration, disruptions and outright destruction of your property if you move here.
