Just steps of Central Park, Nobu 57 & 5th Ave luxury stores. It is convenient to all public transportation with access to all subways lines and walking distance to the Opera, Carnegie Hall, Museums, theater district, Whole food and the best restaurants in NYC.

French style decorated, with beautiful furniture, art work and plants. The apartment has hardwood flooring and large windows, very luminous and immaculately clean.

There are 2 rooms. First the entrance with marble foyer with modified lighting

Then the spacious living room with 2 sofas coffee table and TV, DVD, and VHS

Then separate dining and or office area depending on your use is fully equipped with Broadband Internet access, wireless access and unlimited LOCAL phone calls.

Then the bedroom with ultra-comfortable queen bed mattress. Fresh bed and bath linens will be provided-

Then wall to wall marble kitchen with white appliances refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, dishes, glasses, pots and cutlery provided-

I was traveling with a friend and we both had a great time in this hostel. The rooms were clean and the staff were the most friendly we have ever come across. They would go out of their way to help us. The rooms have been designed to have a theme from a broadway show and this was a really nice touch. The location was perfect - just walking distance from Times Square and Central Park. The kitchen was fully stocked with breakfast food and tea and coffee at all times of the day. We had separate rooms but shared a bathroom which was always clean. I would definitely come back to this hostel. WE BOTH HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOSTEL.

Perfect for two male traveler's. We shared a bathroom woth no problems during a local holiday weekend. We are late 30's to early 40's and enjoyed the uniqueness of this hostel. It was our first and I appreciated the ambiance MUCH BETTER than the overpriced chains we were looking at. It was a chance WELL TAKEN. Seems many of the reviews here are by persons not wanting a true get away. THANKS TEAM 1291 - you were not perfect, but for the price it was not expected.

very nice and decent. Bathroom is clean.Get ready to pay a lot during season. 300 dollars for a hostel room (private room) The girls are very friendly. Valery my favorite one. She is tall and cool. I will date her if I could.

I had the misfortune of staying at this hostel for 4 nights from Sep 20 to 24, 2010. It was disgusting. I was in an 8 person dorm suite...which had 10 people the first night. One of which was sleeping on a mattress on the floor. I was told there were lockers in the rooms. There were 3 small lockers in the room for 8 people. The bathroom has no fan, so it is muggy, smelly and likely moldy under the paint. The kitchen was so filthy that I didn't even go in it. There was a sign above the sink that read "please clean up your own dishes,' which was ignored. The same dishes, and then some, sat in the sink for my entire stay. I will never recommend this place to anyone. The only thing that was positive was how great its location is. DO NOT STAY HERE.

I think this place is perfect for a stay in NYC. I really enjoyed my time in this swiss owned Hostel. The location is simply awesome, the staff was nice and helpful and the rooms are very unique. I recommend this place highly!!!
