I've lived here for a year now and love it truly!! The management is extremely helpful; they actually listen to our suggestions and take care of their tenants. Great place to live.

We have lived at Wheaton 121 for 6 months. Unlike the fake reviews below, we actually live here and are not employed by Morningside (the current owners of Wheaton 121). We were fooled by the luxury look of Wheaton 121, but soon came to realize that this was not anything that we expected shortly after we moved in. The walls in this building are PAPER thin. PAPER. We can hear our neighbors go to the bathroom, shut any cabinets, play music, talk, etc. Some of my friends in the building have the same dissatisfaction when they hear their neighbors getting it on at all hours of the night (and morning), yuck. I understand it's community living (this is what the building says when you complain), but such a new building should not have these issues. I lived in a dorm and a sorority house where I didn't hear this much noise from my neighbors! If you have an outside facing view, you are screwed. We were told the building has gone to extensive lengths for noise insulation from the train. False. It is BEYOND loud!!!! Sometimes, the apartment shakes, and sometimes the train blows its whistle (they say there are quiet hours, but a train can honk whenever it feels like it's necessary) and we have been woken up at all hours of the night. The same goes for snow plowing, shoveling, blowing, etc. I seriously panic when it snows because I know I will get 2 hours of sleep from all the noise. If you have a view facing downtown Wheaton, like us, you can also hear the garbage men multiple times a week at 5AM. If you have an inside facing unit, you have to deal with noise from the courtyard. So pick your poison. We have had an issue with marijuana stinking up our entire hallway and seeping into our unit as well. When I tell the building they say they cannot pinpoint it and that's the end of it. There has been a huge issue with people not picking up after their pets. My husband and I, and our dog, have stepped in animal fecal matter multiple times. The building has said they are going to do poo prints to remedy this, but they have not. It's so bad that the building should be paying a service to go out there and pick it up if they are not going to do anything else. To me, this is NOT luxury and my husband and I feel like our health and sanity is suffering. We contacted the building and Eric at Morningside multiple times regarding this, requesting a termination of our lease. We even offered to pay one month extra rent in good faith, but they won't let us out of our lease. Ferda and Eric say they value our residency, but a contract is a contract. Screw the consumer, I guess. This really bothers me since a large part of our decision to live here was based on the fake reviews online written by employees and their friends. More issues include a door in the garage was not fixed properly and is constantly ajar. Safety issue, and they fix it, but it happens all the time. Today, my FOB key wouldn't open the gym. Four more residents came down to use the gym and couldn't because once again, it was broken. We all woke up early to workout and couldn't use the facilities that we pay for. So really, a contract is only a contract when it's convenient for Morningside. I contacted Morningside LLC directly regarding the fake reviews from non-residents and even from Morningside employees and Eric (VP of Asset Mgmt.) has said he is unaware of these. Right. We are now being forced to get a subleaser or go to court when they come after us for 3 months rent. Today I heard Wheaton 121 is for sale! I cannot 100% confirm that, but it would make sense as to why the building is under a panic and treating their residents like garbage.... You've been warned, everyone. Feel free to contact me directly for more information on this property, I would be happy to share my experience. Basically my advice is...don't be fooled by the luxury LOOK of this building, that's all it is. It is cheaply made, so many corners were cut, and the consumer will pay the price for that (literally and figuratively).

This place is awesome. I love the courtyard/pool area and my dog loves the mini dog-park. The staff is super friendly and helpful - and my neighbors are PHENOMENAL. I was nervous about moving to Wheaton (a suburb), but the area is really lively and I love that I can just hop the Metra and pop downtown Chicago (without the traffic).
