I moved into Waterstone Apartments in Chatsworth on December 1, 2014, so I am a fairly new tenant. In this short time, I have had an opportunity to size up the complex, its residence, the leasing agents and the maintenance staff. While there a few things that would help to improve my rating such as making nets available poolside for residents that wish to help rid the pool of falling leaves, more control over use of some amenities, etc., these things are relatively minor in the grand scheme of things. For the most part, I am very pleased with the management staff and the manner in which they conduct business. Rachel Martinez and Giovanni Torres are warm, friendly, professional and informative, just great people in general, which makes them approachable when the need to communicate problems or concerns arise. In fact, this is the case with the rest of the staff as well George from maintenance simply rocks it! He’s quick and skilled at his craft, but more importantly a man of his word. He just gets things done, period! The property is clean and it stays that way on a consistent basis. This is a big deal for me as I have had very bad experiences with maintenance in prior living situations, so I am grateful for this team and the work they do each and every day. Since moving in, I have only had to communicate a short list of issues/needs ranging from excessive leaf pile up on the tennis court (it gets windy often here), a hot Jacuzzi that suddenly went cold and a broken thermostat that seemed to like the number 80 regardless of current temperature. All of these issues were addressed swiftly. The residences are quiet, and the management enforces quiet hour strongly after 10pm, which I totally appreciate. While the gates are open during the day and may concern some residents, I am concerned about security at night (after 6pm) and the gates are always closed at precisely 6pm daily, not to mention that we have security guards that walk the property to help maintain the safety of residents and property. My only recommendation would be to increase the presence of security by perhaps adding a few more guards to the payroll. It’s a big complex and the more visual confirmation we have of their presence, the better and safer we will all feel. Good job Waterstone! Keep it up. :)
A neighbor stole my dog!! Sonny's son, the loser with the Honda Civic Si is a failure at life and attempted to break in and enter the apartment at 3am in the morning. He shouldn't live here! This place is a horrible place! Not to mention the shape of it is a swastika!
Place is great, been here 4 months and couldn't be happier. The people here are nice and every time I need them to fix something it gets done right away. Hell, this place even has security guards patroling the parking lot. Great gym and the building is always nice clean. The only down side I can see, is one of the two BBQ's is broken, which really doesn't matter cuz I see people with BBQ's on there balcony.
This armpit in Chatsworth is a complete joke. If you enjoy loud neighbors and HORRIBLE management that won't do anything about your concerns and does not enforce their own property regulations than this is the place for you. I had to take my complaints to the city because this dump told me they couldn't do anything about the loud barking dog and the owner with a bigger mouth screaming at 12am while I'm trying to sleep. Another gem is the gardening service, nothing better than having your car just washed so it can be completely sand blasted by the lazy gardener and his blower. I made the mistake of living here, I spent one miserable year of my life that I will never get back, I advise you not to make the same mistake. I should have taken the advise of previous reviewers. There are far better communities in the area.
