I really enjoy staying at The Summit. I moved here from out of state, and the process was surprisingly easy, as that happens all the time for them here--- a lot of residents are moving here to go to school. It is so quiet. I can't tell you how blissfully quiet it is here. I've been here for a year next month, and I feel absolutely over the moon lucky that I found the cheapest 1 Bedroom apartment in the best area. It's safe, looks nice, the grounds are beautifully maintained, the laundry rooms are more or less pretty clean, and you'll feel perfectly safe talking walks. In fact, people walking their dogs as street traffic rivals actual cars at times. The whole place is beautiful and has a great feel to it. The reason for the 4 stars is I feel like my experience with the staff has been very hit and miss. Sometimes they are absolutely wonderful! If you make contact they are almost always very willing to do anything they can to help. They are often very hard to get ahold of, in my experience when I need to talk to someone that day I will call 6-8 times with no answer, leave voicemails and get no calls back. (Recently, there was an improvement, I received a call back 2 days later.) This makes it difficult when you work the same hours that the office is open. I have often sent email inquiries and left voicemails that were not urgent (in lieu of not being able to get ahold of a person to ask) to never receive any contact back or acknowledgement whatsoever. Also, once I rushed home from work to pick up my package that had a new charger and battery in it-- my phone being dead for 2 days now--- and made it to the door at exactly 6:00 on the dot. I met the staff member coming out; and she was completely unwilling to retrieve my package because they were closed. Of course, for all she knew it was makeup from Sephora or something; but I find an unwillingness to spend an extra 3 minutes helping someone not really indicative of good customer service, or common courtesy, even. Maybe I'm biased, because I will stay late at my job if someone's driving through traffic to pick up their glasses any day of the week. I will say that the new staff members have been a welcome addition, and overall I have had about 70% good experiences to only 30% not so good. I think that sometimes they just get super busy and it's easy to get overwhelmed. But it does make me a little nervous. I really miss Jesus, he was the leasing agent when I signed on and he was amazingly kind, personable and helpful!
Greetings World!! I have lived at The Summit at Midtown for almost a year now. I am renewing my lease for a second year. I must say that I have absolutely enjoyed my experience here. I am not saying the my experience has been without issue, but I am saying that the Management and Staff have been quite helpful(above and beyond) what some other properties may offer. I think this is what makes renting worth it. It is not so much about finding the perfect place, but finding a place where the people actually care about the community and neighborhood. The grounds are maintained quite well, and there are sufficient laundry rooms for the tenants' convenience. Furthermore, there is a gym and pool on site. The gym is great because it is small but efficient. There are free weights, treadmill, and an elliptical. The pool is pretty big, and there are planned events to enjoy, like movie night at the pool. It is also quiet, which I certainly appreciate. It is in a nice neighborhood with a variety of people there. There is shopping close by, and a new shopping center just opened at Preston Hollow and Walnut Hill. All in all, I have enjoyed my experience there. Best Wishes with your search!!
We have a two bedroom, 1 bath and love it. They keep the area well kept and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We also have great neighbors! The laundry rooms are generally clean as well as the swimming pool. The Summit at Midtown is in a great area with many restaurants and stores close by.
This complex is a great value with a great location. We've been here 8 months so far. The neighbors are generally respectful, maintenance is responsive, office staff is friendly and reasonable, and they keep the place looking nice. We like seeing the flowers around the walkway and sitting out by the pool. And for what you get, you can't beat the price.
