The apartments are nice, clean. Old style stove, and bottom of the line fridge with the slowest icemaker ever, but they're brand new. The development is extremely convenient to anything you might need in walking distance and on the bus line. The staff is friendly enough. We were told the staff would sign for packages, but turns out there's a size limit that wasn't mentioned. We ordered a new TV to be delivered on our arrival date. However, it got there before we did. The staff could have made an exception since we traveled 3,000 miles. But no. In fairness, we should have called to warn them. They were very apologetic. Also, we were told that satellite was an option... which is easy to say in theory, but in practice, they are not. The property doesn't allow them to be visible, which means there may be 12 units in the entire development where satellite is actually an option. So the only real option is Comcast which is ranked nationally near the bottom. The Xfinity technology is cool, but the cable goes down more often than it should. This seems to be getting better. Comcast seems to have a monopoly in the area. Also for move in day, they didn't block off parking space for the moving truck. First place I ever lived that didn't do that - maybe that's just a Southern courtesy. Another big drawback is no bicycle parking at the unit. You can park it at the only bike racks in the complex by the pool, or bring it inside your apartment, thru your living area, to the deck. This probably means tracking up the carpet and losing your deposit. This a glaring lack of an amenity in such a bike-friendly town. The covered parking is a very nice amenity. Just looking around town, these seem to be one of the best maintained as far as landscaping. Trash and recycling is very convenient too. NOISY NOISY. We live on the second floor of a 3-floor building, and we've learned that the floors are paper thin, especially in uncarpeted rooms. You can hear everything! Maybe the neighbors are playing the music a little more loudly than they should, but we shouldn't be able to make out the lyrics! You can hear the upstairs neighbors closing drawers and cabinets in the kitchens. There is apparently no built-in noise dampening. This is a structural flaw that no manner of good customer service for which can atone. A few other minor little design flaws that make living less convenient than it should be. The dining counter between the kitchen and living area was built 6" higher than standard, which means it's not terribly useful for eating at unless you like your dinnerplate at chest height. Oddly, the only ceiling fan in the unit is in the dining area instead of the living area...? Other small things like towel rack placement, electrical outlets and such were just done without consideration for convenience and daily living. With the extra ceiling height, more storage could have been added in the kitchen and closets. Really, for us, the staff, the cleanliness/newness and convenience are the only thing keeping this place at 3 stars.

I've lived in Woodland for a bit more than a year, and it's great. I'm the first one to live in my unit, the appliances are all new (unlike the appliances from the early 90s I found in every other place I looked at), and the staff is unbelievably professional. They all know my name, even though I don't remember meeting all of them. I had a few issues with cracks developing around the windows, but they were fixed the same day I filed the work order, which you can do online without much hassle. I never hear a peep from my neighbors. Part of that is I'm on the third floor, but the soundproofing is great, like you'd expect from a new building. There are very strict lease terms, like a 24 hour quiet period, but that's part of what makes it nice. I've hung lots of art on the walls, they're not cheap and they don't crumble, at least not in my unit. I don't know where the negative reviewers lived, but it doesn't sound like the same Woodland where I live. My only complaint is that the dryer vents onto the patio, so it spreads lint dust across the whole space, but that's a solvable problem.

My experience at woodlands was not the best. At first when I looked at the apartment it seemed nice and the gentleman that gave me the walk through did not show me where I could write issue I noticed prior to move in. After move-in I noticed a horrible drywall patch on the ceiling that looked like a leak, uneven cabinet doors and all the closet doors did not open properly. I called in to have service in and no one called me back and they still are not working. As far as leasing and rent costs goes, that was a nightmare I initially was paying $989 for a 1 bedroom and after my lease was up I went to month to month, Woodland increased my rent so much I just had to pay $1,400 due to the increase and there online payment system does not automatically pay the increase so they also charged me a late fee, I spoke with the employees at the office and they claimed there was nothing they can do about the matter. The members in there office called me repeatedly regarding the renewing of my lease over and over again, when I asked about a shorter lease they never even called, E-mailed or contacted me at all regarding leasing agreements, it was very unprofessional. When I asked to speak with someone about my issues they simply directed me to someone that had no way of helping me at all or ability to ease my bad experience. It was very unfortunate because I was thrilled to live there initially when I first looked at how great the location was and the amenities they had to offer but, unfortunately the experience was ruined due to poor customer service and organization. After reading other reviews, I am horrified at what move-out is going to be like.

TOO expensive for the area. changed a couple of residents only free items in the year we stayed. ended up paying still because it we were first time movers and it was not %110 clean when we left. we lived like human beings not animals..

Nice quite place but a few things need improvement. The manager can be VERY snide and sarcastic. There are signs all over that say No trespassing but every sales man and Morons are all ways knocking on doors. I call the office to let her know and her reply "Well just don't answer the door" To which I said NO you need to do YOUR job and kick these people out! If some one from APM sees this let Larna know there is more to being a manager then just sitting in the office collecting the rent checks and her pay check. In the lease it says there is to be no storing of bike, strollers and any type of furniture in the stairs and breeze ways. But there are and I have went to the office and posted on facebook about it and was told it would be taken care of. Guess what? NOTHING has been done and it looks like the slums that are across the street around here. What good is a lease if your not going to enforce your own rules that the rest of us abide by?
