I've lived here for a few months now and I don't know what everyone is complaining about. I have had a couple wasps on my patio, but once you knock down the nests they go away. I've never seen a roach, but then again I keep my place clean. If you have roaches, call for maintenance to spray and take out your garbage regularly. The gates are new and the fire department is lagging on installing a device for fire safety, that's why they are not closed yet. New management is working on cleaning everything up, repairing the roofs, giving us trash pickup service, and I was told they are building a new dog park as well. I see people working out there everyday, but it is a large community, have some patience. I love the staff as well, especially Landon.
New company took over (Grey Star) and the new staff is just rude. They did not keep up with the landscape for about a month. Ever since moving in 10 months ago I have had to deal with roaches, and spiders inside my home. The kitchen light will go off for a few minutes, once I turn them back on, roaches everywhere. The cabinets and appliances are outdated. The stairs inside the home creek very loud. We pay for a gated community, and the gates have never worked. The pool in the front has been closed, with green water too. We can not use our balcony because of wasps getting into the storage, because the door won't stay shut due to the frame being completely rotted. I will not recommend this place to anyone, not even my worse enemy. Now I know why so many residents are moving out, and did not enjoy calling this place home.
this place sucks ass. I've been here three years and every year the rent goes up with the promises of renovations. as soon as my lease is up im out. this year new management just took over so maybe it will improve but i doubt it. they have a bunch of renovations scheduled to make the place better but its only for vacant apartments. and once those are renovated the rent is set to go up another 2 hundred dollars. believe me i asked. I've been harassed about my dog. I've been harassed about simply popping the hood of my car. the neighbors are great though. the only way i've managed to keep living here is with a roommate. i'm pretty sure that's the only way to afford living here. i pay 900 hundred for a 2 bedroom. i thought about going to a one bedroom but thats still almost 800 dollars. you're better off going to moss park apartments where everything is brand new and worth every penny
As far as apartments go, this place has got to be the worse one to choose. Yes, they have nice pools and a 24 hour gym to access but it is not worth it. The apartments themselves has warped cabinets, paper thin walls, and plumbing that is not worth crap! I think my favorite part about this place was the fact that I had a one bed/bath apartment and the toilet broke. I called to get it fixed and the guy said he didn't have the parts and would be back on Monday (three days later). Whoa! I had to wait three days to get it fixed. Unfortunately for me, the guy never showed. I left another message and it took a week for them to come. So I had gone a week and a half without a toilet! PEOPLE HAVE TO GO TO THE BATHROOM!!!! He came and took out paper clips, bobby pins, and metal chains that the previous renters had flushed before we got there. How do I know? He put the nasty looking items on a piece of paper and left it on my sink with another piece of paper reading, "Don't flush these again". Now if this wasn't enough, I gave my notice that I was going to leave and the next day I get this letter saying that they are going to bring people into my apartment to look at it. I still have 3 months! So I went to talk to them about that because who in the world wants random people you don't know or trust coming into your home unannounced? Not me! It turns out that the investors wanted to check out every single apartment to make sure their money is going into good hands. They only give a two days notice which may be a lot for most but not I. I work all day and don't need my only free time to worry about that! Now we are supposedly getting this weird gate system to work. Some would be thrilled but not I. Why? Because we don't have any fencing. What is the point of the gates if hobos and burglars can just come in all whilly nilly but the cops have to wait for a stupid gate to open? I had hobos fighting right next to my car, three cop cars surrounding my apartment, and it's on;y 11:30pm. I was scared out of my mind. Those gates were supposed to close on a certain day. When that day came, nothing. It still isn't closed so I guess I don't have to worry about the cops coming slowly in case crazies decide to come to the neighborhood. So honestly, this place is too over priced. It is not a safe place to raise children or to live alone. This is not very respectful people nor are they trying to hold up to their end of the lease when it comes to maintenance. I DO NOT recoommend living here. You are better off somewhere else. Trust me, these are only a few of the offense on my list.
Have lived here for many years, and its gone drastically downhill each year, and rent keeps going up somehow. The gates have not worked in over 3 years, leading to several robberies, vandalisms and break ins, including that recent car jacking attempt on a mother and her child by ruffians.Check with the local PD to see which neighborhoods get hit the most, its this one. The homeless live in the woods off the corner of 17-92 and 434 here, and seeing them hanging outside by your car or sitting on your curb in the middle of the night is commonplace. I cant count how many times the police come into this place on calls, gunshots etc. As for peace and quiet it doesn't exist here. Typical wood framed construction. You hear your neighbors banging, and every fight they have, doors slamming, dogs barking day and night non stop noise. The speed bumps outside are enormous, every school bus, big truck etc. just reverberates throughout your home. The windows are single pane, which means every car with Bass pounding shakes the china in your cabinets at all hours of the night. As far as maintenance, the workers are friendly, but my AC has gone out over 12 times since I moved in, and not once was it ever replaced. The low efficiency of the equipment leaves me with power bills over $250 some months at 78 degrees, which is ludicrous for a small apartment. Management is rude and has never attempted to remedy any of these concerns. With occupancy now almost 100% since the recession, why would they bother? I implore you, don't be fooled by the picture of the clubhouse, which they spend all the money on. This place is a joke. No decent human being will want to live here, and as a lot of us move out, this complex continues its downhill fall. Im moving to Maitland, away from this low income area. For what they ask for in rent here you can afford to be anywhere else.
