I would like to take the time to allow anyone who is considering to move to The Park at Laurel Oaks in Winter Springs to RECONSIDER THEIR OPTION. The staff is, without a doubt, unbelievably rude and unprofessional. I have lived there for five years and it has been nothing short of disaster. I am a quiet, hard working tenant who pays her rent on time and have asked for nothing in return. When I moved into my apartment, the carpet was DISGUSTING. The previous tenant must have had dogs and/or cats, who have peed in the apartment, leaving stains and odor. The sink, too, was destroyed, along with a few small fixer uppers. I filled out the work order for what needed to be repaired--all minor work, mind--the men never came to fix anything. I requested to see my work order to show proof that I had filled it out. They misplaced my work order and faked one, showing that it was blank, claiming I had nothing to fill out. My larger concern was the damaged sink. It took them a year, A YEAR, to fix that blasted sink. The staff is incredibly, outrageously RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and on top of that, they do not listen. They keep sending me the wrong lease papers, blaming it on each other in the office, and in the end, I had to pay the consequences of turning in my rent late, while they "reassured" me I would not be penalized. One says my rent is this much, the other says a different figure, and the other day, the fat lady in the office SLAMMED her paperwork against the desk and threatened that if I did not shut up, she would call the police on me. That is just the tip of the iceberg. The hallways are full of trash, they do not clean anything, nor do they cut the grass. Recently, I have had my outdoor mat and wreath STOLEN! Also, they have been having a cockroach problem. I have asked for them to spray inside the apartment, which they have been promising they will for the past four months. No one ever came. I've seen three roaches in one day! I have transferred from their town home after four years into a smaller apartment and my old friend happened to move in, and they still HAVEN'T CHANGED THE CARPET! One of my co-workers used to live here as well, and she said the management was so rude to her and her family that she had to pack her belongings and move out a couple months ago. Please, reconsider your choice to move into The Park at Laurel Oaks. I am one very, very disappointed tenant. I will NOT be renewing my lease. I am terribly sorry I renewed it this January.
Have lived here almost 6 years. I have no real complaints. Good quiet place to live. New management is doing a great job.
This was my first apartment and it has been wonderful! I have no bugs so I'm not sure what others are talking about. My neighbors and the neighborhood itself is AWESOME! I feel 100% safe when I end up coming home at 2-4am! And another thing that made me extremely happy and impressed is I woke up today without a/c! I was pretty upset knowing my air conditioning broke and figured it would take some time to get someone out here but I called the office before I left to work and they had it fixed by the time I came home! Super super happy and overall love this place!
I've lived here for a few months now and I don't know what everyone is complaining about. I have had a couple wasps on my patio, but once you knock down the nests they go away. I've never seen a roach, but then again I keep my place clean. If you have roaches, call for maintenance to spray and take out your garbage regularly. The gates are new and the fire department is lagging on installing a device for fire safety, that's why they are not closed yet. New management is working on cleaning everything up, repairing the roofs, giving us trash pickup service, and I was told they are building a new dog park as well. I see people working out there everyday, but it is a large community, have some patience. I love the staff as well, especially Landon.
New company took over (Grey Star) and the new staff is just rude. They did not keep up with the landscape for about a month. Ever since moving in 10 months ago I have had to deal with roaches, and spiders inside my home. The kitchen light will go off for a few minutes, once I turn them back on, roaches everywhere. The cabinets and appliances are outdated. The stairs inside the home creek very loud. We pay for a gated community, and the gates have never worked. The pool in the front has been closed, with green water too. We can not use our balcony because of wasps getting into the storage, because the door won't stay shut due to the frame being completely rotted. I will not recommend this place to anyone, not even my worse enemy. Now I know why so many residents are moving out, and did not enjoy calling this place home.
