Horrible scary place to live at. Don't let the outside appearance fool you during the day time. At night, this place is crawling with drug dealers and dirty thugs standing around and whole bunch of illegal activities on top of that. They let anyone move in here now, and don't filter out the good from the bad any longer. I wish the police had a substation here to make people feel safer. The property management don't want you posting negative reviews and threaten to evict anyone who does for any reason. Just ask around and everyone will tell you that this place is by far the worst in entire West County. People would get robbed in the parking lot, cars being broken into so much so that the local news got involved. Just stay away from here.
This place is terrible. I was without heat for most of winter 2014-15 and without AC for summer of 2015. My apartment flooded 17+ times. 17+ times! Pipes exploded, shower exploded, faucet came dethatched from bathroom sink and leaked, my AC leaked, the above apartment's AC leaked and there were several mystery floodings that happened when it hadn't rained in weeks. I could never have a fire in my fireplace. Maintenance staff came in to fix one thing, broke my sliding glass door when they went out for a smoke and didn't fix it until I reported it when I came home later that evening. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!
From my knowledge the management has changed hands as of one year ago. I guess I got lucky because that is when I moved in… It has been fine and I like my cute little place. I'm concerned that someone mentioned covering up shambles. I've not noticed anything like that for my year here and I just signed on for another 12 months. I assume all places have their ups and downs but honestly the Vicino is a good place. Normally anything I notice like yard work, laundry mat problems, and pool issues are fixed before I can complain. I think most people are pleasantly surprised for the price.
Vicino on the Lake is a high-end apartment and townhome community in a very attractive part of town; Creve Coeur. The complex was built in the 1960's but is nicely updated and the units are well maintained by a fantastic maintenance staff who are prompt and make it a priority to ensure the residents are as comfortable as possible and inconvenienced as little as possible. Though I read some reviews stating otherwise, the Management staff are professional and friendly. They try their hardest to, within reason, accommodate any request in the most effective way possible. As someone who has extensive experience in the Property Management industry, I understand that there are some things that residents request which simply cannot be accommodated for, or are not the responsibility of the Management. I would urge anyone to list specifics as to why they are not completely satisfied with the community and it's staff, who I can ensure are dedicated making an effort to ensure their residents feel well taken care of. I would love to live in this community again if ever I was to move back to the area.
Lived here for 1.5 years. Good place, prompt maintenance and nice office staff.
