This place is a living hell, all they care about is your money. Electric bill is insane up to $300 a month for 1 bedroom, management will tell you that's normal for cheap rent...seriously? Maintenance takes forever to respond to your request. I slept in the cold for 3 days in a negative degree weather and what they gave me was a space heater for the whole apartment. Parking lot is a mess, very dark and scary at night. At your move-out, they charge you over $ 2000 for carpet replacement when in reality all it needs is cleaning, the counter top they used a microscope to look at and will charge you for things you can't see with the naked eye. They will also tell you that the counter top needs to be replaced. ($600) They will never show up for the pre-move out inspection so you don't know to expect. They also charge you for paint because of marks and scuffs...which is normal wear and tear. Hunter Glen is the absolute worst place to live. I remember reading these same reviews when I was about to move in and asking management if they were true and they said no...But now I'm writing a bad review about this place because it's so true. I would never recommend this place to anyone. PLEASE TAKE ALL THE REVIEWS SERIOUSLY! I wish I listened before I moved here....
I am staying here for last 16 months..it's an great apartment located a perfect location between the park and Golf area. Public transport, restaurants, grocery store, medical facilities etc are at door step and comes under very good school district. The service staff are very friendly and always took care of service requests on time. I really enjoyed my stay here and recently extend my lease for another 15 Months.
The office was very disorganized-when I showed up to move in, my apartment was not ready and NO ONE had contacted me and I had confirmed days beforehand. Once I got in the apartment (a day and a half later) it was fine, decently quiet and rent didn't feel like robbery at the time (thought electric is huge-even when out of town). The office pretty much left the residents alone, which suited me fine. When I had to move out before my lease ended due to a job change, they were horribly unorganized, rude and charged me a ridiculous amount to 'clean the apartment' which I am 100% positive will not be done, as it was not before I moved into my apartment. I have to agree with other reviewers who have concerns for the management being dishonest.
My stay at Hunters Glen over past one year has been pretty good. The support and maintenance staff is there to help solve problems. Close proximity to schools, nj transit and grocery stores makes it more attractive.
My issue :I experienced it and end of paying 745$ for replacing counters pot . There was one or two minor bubbling in the counter pot , they have sent pictures to me.which hardly noticeable or can be cleaned or adjusted .But charged 610$ for replacement for whole counter pot ,which is use less, no need to replace that part. Little strain on the stove near one coil which can be fixed max 20$ or 30$ but charged 130$ for apartment cleaning .while i have cleaned everything I can give the pictures and described how they charged to me, how it works , if you are interested .I discuss with manager "Sheri " and got answer from him "no room for negotiation". its alws happens How the place is :Place is good to stay ,every thing is near ,peace is there ,and have play ground .it is good as long as you are there, once your lease expire ,you loose your deposit for small issue they will raise . Not mine you can go for others review and decide Suggestion:I would suggest don't try your luck to clean the apartment and waist your energy because they need excellent condition and charge what ever they need as per their demands and will not give you any option to do anything. Please try to get all internet review before take any decision of renewal or if taking a new lease . if getting a new lease ,do microscopic inspection else at the end of the lease you will be made to loose your deposit or saving because they do microscopic inspection . They even don't understand little wear and tear happen after use of anything ,even if we are paying rent also for that apartment and wanted to be good as new then what is the point of renting the apartments.
