Only been here 2months and hate it already. Nothing gets fixed properly. My water has been leaking since I moved here in March. My contract states my rent is $$$$$ but every month there's a late fee because something the property management didn't stated, it keeps going up. The beams in the ceilings are improperly installed you can see the seam. Had an A/C issue first week here it never shut off maintenance came 3 times before finally being fix. But that didn't stop Dominion Power from billing me a high electricity bill. The only thing this place has to offer is the club house and that's about it. Sad part they are quick to tell you your payment is late but can't fix a patch bike tire if they had to. There's no such thing as sleep here you can hear every movement and sound of the top floor apartment. Please people it's not worth it at all. Navy ship living conditions are better I'm telling you. If I was stationed on a ship hell I'll stay there. If you going to keep boosting rent every month, at least take time to clarify with the tenants.
The pest issues are rediculous here. The people have come to spray twice already but it was a waste of time because the roaches are still abundant. I have to look around the floor and walls after i flip a light switch on in a room just to make sure there arent any roaches, and most of the time there are. Tired of going to bed and having to worry about bugs crawling on me while i sleep. The structure itself is literally cracking from the wall all the way up the ceiling. There have been numerous maintenance issues such as the a/c not running properly, the toilet overflowing and broken appliances just to name a few. The maintenance men are very nice and respectful but everything seems to be a temporary fix. Wouldnt normally complain and write a review like this but it just seems like whoever actually runs this place doesnt care about anything but the new apartments and the clubhouse.
The beginning of our lease term was anightmare! Bugs, broken A/C, leaking ceiling, broken dryer, broken garbage disposal, broken dishwasher, and MOLD! We submitted mutiple Service request, all that was done was quick fixes. It wasn't until a written notice was submitted, that corrective action was taken to fix all the problems. Since the written noticed the staff, replaced our a/c, fixed the celing, replaced the dryer, dishwasher and garbage disposal. They had the respect to write us a friendly letter highlighting there was no mold, despite having pictures of mold, seeing it with our own eyes and the ac unit in fact was leaking bad. Furthermore, the rest of our stay has been ok. We haven't made any complaints about the construction, despite no prior notice of the companies plans to renovate! Parking will be an issue, the children here are hood "bad"! Lastly the ending of our lease is near, will defiently do our research prior to signing a lease else where! All in all the prices have sky rocketed and it's highly not worth the cost of rent here! In addition to $65 plus for water, sewer, trash is outrages! Recommended with reservations
PLEASE READ: I wouldn't recommend living here to a homeless person. The only good thing about this complex are the people you live with who hate it just as much as you do/ will. The apartments are so old and poorly made that you can see the walls buckling from the weight of the upper floors. They claim to have security but they're not worth the effort to call. You're better off calling the real police. At least with them they don't take 3 hours to respond. The people who own it are only concerned about one thing: MONEY and absolutely nothing else. Not the well being of the tenants or the concerns that we have.
the only good thing is the area. i moved in four months ago my lease doesn't end until august of 2016 and i just received a notice that i HAVE to move by February because of renovations to this building. they didn't know that when i moved in? if you don't mind overpaying then go for it. lots of parking.
