I've lived here almost three years now. I enjoy the quiet atmosphere of my building. My neighbors are friendly and We keep to ourselves, so there is no issue with gossip. Maintenance attends to requests quickly, but things are not always solved in a quick manner. At times, my building has not been notified when maintenance is coming, but the office is working on that problem. My biggest complaint or issue since I moved in is the common areas carpeting and walls. Before I moved in, I was told the property management group would be replacing all the hallway carpeting and painting the hallways. Three years later I have yet to see anything done. The carpets are filthy and stained, walls are stained and holes are in the walls. My building has an odor, which I believe is from the disgusting hallway carpets. That would be my biggest complaint. I am actually embarrassed to invite people over due to the condition of the common areas. I would not recommend The Willows to anyone until these upgrades are made. The building with the leasing office is in a much more livable condition as well as the landscaping around the 1200 buildings. The landscaping around the 1300 buildings is neglected and many neighbors from the 1200's could not believe it was all part of The Willows. My suggestion is to make sure you visit the building you will be moving into, so you can see the actual condition and not assume all buildings are well kept like 1200. I don't like being misled, which I know happens in sales and marking, but after years of this condition and complaints, I would think the property management group would replace the carpets and paint the hallways at a minimum. I feel like people would be more likely to stay or recommend The Willows if some improvements were made to the buildings, not just individual apartments.
mid 20s man with 1-2 room mates.. dont come here ... ill explain now sit down lets talk about it... oh youre already sitting? well thats half the battle enjoy! I've been living here for half a year now.. the community turns into a drug dealers paradise at night ill walk outside of my house and get followed by random cars.. people have asked me for heroine all the way to molly and ill ignore them and get chased into my house. Random drunks going to the bathroom on peoples windows at night house smells atrocious.[indoors] ive wasted close to 20% or more of our checks a month on cleaning supplies. the management does little or nothing to accommodate you. in my case nothing but maintenance is good to go thats about it. you guys like flies?? well if you live on ground level or first floor they fly in your house via the air condition shafts or God forbid you open a window.. you have 3 inch long flies in your house now. like roaches? sometimes you get them and it doesnt matter how clean you keep your house which in my case im prior military i clear like its a career even when nothing is dirty. like privacy? well people have no problem knocking on your door complaining about you parking in a spot that they themselves deemed their parking spot even though there is no assigned parking ever and never will be! also they come at 1 am or 11 pm to knock so enjoy that. everyone in this neighborhood owns a pitbull no exaggeration my room mate was attacked and so were our dogs .. at least two separate occasions. when they say come pay 150$+ more a month for our recenetly upgraded or renovated apartments have them show you THE EXACT ONE THEY WANT YOU TO MOVE INTO!! or you will be tricked into getting one like mine with all kinds of issues.. ive had issues since day 1. the paper trail i left for management. I've been sick a month into living here and havent left the house but a hand full of times to go to doctors appointments. Im fit im not overweight or disabled.. let me explain this sickness too.. primary care doctor cant figure out whats wrong with me even after ordering tests to be done. I have a feeling i know why im getting sick often and im not the only one in my house getting sick either but since we found out the reason my family started eating out alot more instead of at home. SOMEONES DIRTY CLOTHES WATER ABOVE ME OVERFLOWS MY KITCHEN SINK AND GOES ONTO MY POTS AND PANS THAT I COOK AND EAT WITH! i didnt believe it till i saw it happen. you see dirty foamy water appear from the drain and overflow your kitchen sink twice a day sometimes infecting your dishes in the sink and any pots and pans kept under the sink and then getting on the floors and sometimes other cabinets. [point of origin for sickness? you tell me] Oh do you guys like spiders?? ive been bit 17 times since i moved in.. one time was by a black widow and i ended up hospitalized and the center for poison control had to come with me to the hospital. good game there. [ Used to keep photos of the bites but we left the cell phone with the pics on the counter near the kitchen sink and it just so happened to be a day of sink overflow and destroyed the phone entirely] only have the hospital info now from the deadly bite to the people of management reading this feel free to fix these problems i know its a new company that took over and maybe you guys dont know all this maybe you do im at that point where i dont care either way.. b.c i know your employees know about it since they are the same employees. Insects/illness/poorly redone apartment/ and over priced for the unit in comparison to the non upgraded apartments ive seen and been in with friends i made in this community. building 1307
I live here now I only will live here for one year I think the maintenance is great I do have a problem with the dog situation I don't understand why on the application they wanted to know what type of dog you have when there are clearly pitbulls and German Shepherds and all kinds of dogs that are very dangerous and not just that these dogs are running around with their owners and their off leash a few times these dogs have attacked little dogs I mean little like we're talking chihuahuas teacup chihuahuas if it wasn't for the husbands that were out there the dogs would have been dead these people are still running around with their dogs off leash they scare me they scare me to death and I love dogs last but not least my only other gripe is the handicap parking people come and knock on my door and tell me that they've lived here 20 to 25 years and that I parked in their spot and it's their handicap spot first of all if you have a handicap placard you get the park in a handicap spot it's not anyone's designated spot unless your address is under it second of all if you have a problem you go to the office you don't go to your neighbor's door second of all they try to compare illnesses to see who would get the parking spot it's ridiculous and it's childish and it's pettiness and say that you lived here 20/25 years that's not something that I would brag about.(maintenance is awesome)!
Lived here for one whole year and the living was absolutely terrible. When I got out of there, man was it a serious sigh of relief. First of all, when you approach the place, you enter to a very lovely apartment area. Everything is bright and cheery, the halls smell fresh, the floor is a bit dingy but better than where I lived. The people greet you with a pleasant, but obvious fake attitudes. Almost to where it's kind of uncomfortable. You can tell they don't want to be there, or they love to gossip about you when you leave. There is one thing though, so I'll up it one star just because of this. They work with you regardless. They will bend the rules a little and do all they can for you, especially when you're in need. I loved that because not many places will do that for you. Especially not in this state. However, you need to read their contracts because they will try to swindle you out of any security deposits or whatever. I've read some reviews on it and man do they try to keep it. I'm not sure if that was for last management, but this management seems to as well. Listen to them ever so closely. Now for the fun part, the living conditions. I took a look at my apartment and the area. Kids were running around, people seemed nice, the hall was kind of clean. Weird smell, but clean and the inside was quiet. Perfect. The place was pretty fantastic, except for the occasional needles on the floor, in the grass. Trash littering the backyard area, and sometimes the lawn. They make doubly sure that the front is nice and clean and mowed, trash picked up, but not the back. After one or two months of living there, neighbors moved in upstairs. I don't mind, I prefer the bottom floor, I expect loud walking neighbors. What came next, I did not expect and it was absolute torture. They were a tad bit noisy for the first month they moved in. Not too bad, it's just that the walls in these apartments are very. very. thin. so the people above me sounded like they had a marching band. Again, I mind a little, but not too much as it should be expected sometimes. It was their dog. Their dog. Oh man their dog. Their dog was so bad, that I literally sat and cried for an hour sometimes because I could not get any sleep. None. I couldn't even sleep in my own bedroom. Almost since I moved in that dog barked non-stop and howled the most horrific, loud and obnoxious, gargled, raspy howl you could have ever imagined. The owners were almost never home and at one point they were out till almost 1 am with the dog just going on and on and on the ENTIRE TIME. I did not sleep in the bedroom. That is where they kept said dog. I slept in the Living room, on the sofa. A tiny sofa. Me and my fiance. Struggling to get comfy. We had no peace. No where to go, but to sit and listen to that thing, from the moment they get up to go to work at 7am till 10pm +. And when they came home you can hear the dog run all over the apartment, stomping its paws on the ground as hard as it could. What does that have to do with these apartments? I complained to the apartments quite often. They did nothing. I left notes for the neighbors. Nothing. I knocked on their door. Nothing. An entire year of that. When I did complain, the apartments gave me an attitude. A disgusting attitude. Where was that hospitality that they had? They only gave them slips of paper. That. did. nothing. That is the worst of it all. The wall in the corridor had a HUGE dark brown drippy soupy stain on the wall. Like someone took their tomato soup and just splashed it from the very top and let it drip down the wall. At the top of the stain it looked like someone was gonna paint over it, swiped once and just left it alone. Yep. Living here was wonderful! I would love to tell you more, but unfortunately there's a character limit, but you get it. Beware.
Great place! The apartments are spacious and nice and the rent is affordable and definately worth it. The staff and maintanence is friendly and immediately came out if I needed them! Overall I would definately recommend these apartments.
