Do not move there! They have the worst management ever. The staff there are completely incompentent and rude. The will rip you off when you move out. They will charge you twice for bills then claim they never received your money. The apartments are terrible and the people are terrible. Don't be fooled by their ads. It's all lies.
After a few months of living here I have downgraded my review from 3 stars to 1. The problems that I had chalked up to a hectic move in time have continued for months now. The apartment we moved into is significantly worse than the one we were shown. There was a chunk of the floor missing, among other obvious signs of poor craftsmanship and a rushed remodel. Our patio had a thick layer of dirt caked onto the ground, not to mention garbage and spider webs. When we told the management they apologized, checked a file, then told us that the apartment was already "made ready" and that we need to take pictures and bring them in if we wanted it to be cleaned. They didn't allow us to see our actual apartment prior to move in. When we did move in, they hit us with hidden fees. We were promised a $200 Amazon gift card upon move in, it didn't show up for months. Unfortunately their late payment policy of $30 for the first day and $5 for every day after that only applies to us giving them money, not the other way around. We are paying to live in a gated apartment complex, but it's now December and the gate hasn't been working since I moved in August 1st. They also promised a Kurig with free coffee in the clubhouse, but they ran out in the first 2 weeks and I haven't seen any since. Now that it is getting cold I can really tell how poorly insulated these units are, which explains the astronomical heating bill. The internet here is very slow and unreliable. The maintenance people have let themselves into my apartment three times that I know of with no prior notice, once when I was in the shower, and another time when my roommate was in bed sleeping. The third time we only knew of because they left footprints all over the fake wood floor and knocked a plant off the coffee table, breaking off branches and spilling dirt on the ground that they just left there. We have been given wrong information from the management multiple times about various different things, and are then given attitude when trying to figure out what the real answer is.
Wish there was a negative review option. I lived at Rockland (previously the Campus Court) for 1.5 year from 2013 to 2015. I thought Campus Court management was bad; the Rockland guys took it up a notch. I had horrible issues from getting check deposited into wrong accounts to being charges for wrong charges my exit statement. They charges me $75 wrongfully from my due refund; their assistant manager admitted to it on phone and said a check will be sent for that. I make 3 calls to follow up and eventually am told by an associate that since I missed the dispute filing deadline, my account has been closed. This place is a scam; they will try to squeeze every single penny out of you. Stay away please!
Terrible place to live: 1. very ridiculous management .. You pay and you dont know the details of what did you pay 2. low quality buildings .. Doors,bathrooms,floors and kitchens are so poor 3. NO INSULATION so when your roommate washes the dishes maybe wake you up 4. Internet speed is so bad I WILL NOT live here again
Had a terrible experience with them. First the utilities bills aren't clear. They send you how much you have to pay but it doesn't show the details. And when my roommate and I moved out, they charged us outrageous amounts for stuff that needed to be done, regardless. Like painting the walls and changing the carpet. There was nothing wrong with but they still charged us. So I wouldn't recommend it.
