The price I paid is not even close to the service they provide. You can pay less somewhere else and find the same low quality of service. When my heater broke. I had to call 7 times until someone fixed it because I complained of being tired to sleep with no heater. The mainance manager is so rude and doesn't care that you don't have heater. I complained at the office and the respond I got was," oh he has personal problems, please understand him. " what? Horrible management . They are really good and nice when you want to rent the place, they show you the location and everything. After that, you are screwed. Also, the neighbors I had , they were selling drugs. ALL day, ALL night people with different cars would come in and leave, even until 3 in the morning. I lived there for 7 months and couldn't wait for my lease to be up. Also, cetepedes are all over the place. Called for mainance, they came to spray whatever and centipedes are there anyways. Horrible experience. Don't rent here unless they lower the prices.
the worst office people, if you want to be ignored , led on and lied to then this is the place for you. Not only that, since i had 1 late payment I was taken to court. Now have this blemish on my record. this is the only place that will tell you they will be flexible with you upon moving in, but wont budge when that time comes. They dont respond to phone calls, or emails. The girls that answer the phone dont pas on messages to management. Ive been calling them for 2 weeks this time and nobody returns my calls. Apparently the manager I was told I needed to speak to have been on leave since January, but not one person was competent enough to pick up the phone and call me back. I made the request to be present during the inspection. that went ignored and apparently I have violations. oh I look forward to seeing what these violations are. this is the worst experience ive had. Roberts Mills will go the extra mile to get anything extra from you. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to this place.
Ive been here for over 4 yrs now. I've lived in the townhouses and then downgraded to an apt. In the townhouse, I had an issue with centipedes (maybe since I had an end unit w/ fireplace) but no roaches. I don't know why ppl are saying there's a roach problem, unless others are bringing them in from a prior location. Any bug problem I had, I called the office and the exterminator (which comes through every Tuesday) would come and fix my issue. I do have an issue with the large amounts of dogs in the complex though. When I lived in the townhouse, I would call the group "The kennel club" bc every night a bunch of dog owners would meet in that huge grass area in between the townhouses in the back and let the dogs runs around and play but in the past yr or so, the complex has built designated areas for dogs to play. I do remember a while ago seeing a bunch of ppl with pit bulls in the front of the complex. I know residents had complained to the office about seeing these men smoking and drinking outside with their pit bulls running around but those residents from what I have seen no longer live here. I have also seen dog poop on the grounds which is something that the office needs to enforce better. At the apt, I've had an ant issue but again when I call the office, they send someoen out to fix the issue. I've had my washer and dryers replaced with brand new ones after the old ones finally died. It took a couple wks to get the dryer but it was worth the wait. The apt complex in my opinion is quiet and there isn't alot of police driving through which is a good thing. I've seen MSPD only a few times but it's few a far between. Some complexes have police and fire dept. in the parking lots everyday. I do have some noisy neighbors around my apt right now. The ones above me have floors so thin, I can hear them walking around, talking/yelling, cooking dinner, entertaining guests, etc... everyday amd night. It's annoying that they are waking me up in the moring before my alarm goes off. One neighbor a few doors down tends to blast his music so loud with the windows open, I can hear it after my apt. My main issue with the complex is the price. Every yr it goes up bc it's market based pricing. I will probably be moving out this summer due to this. I dealt with the high price for the townhouse bc it fitted my needs when I was living there. As for the apt I live in now, it has its own basement with washer and dryer which helps me so I don't have to budget time with my busy work schedule to go to the laundromat and I dont need to buy a storage unit. The higher price also keeps the rift raft out of the complex so we both have the same issues like other complexes do.
I have lived here for couple of months and it's a decent place to live. My residence is in the front area so I don't know what goes on in the back area. I love the fact that there are dogs here and being a dog owner, I would not live here if they did not allow my dogs. It's also quiet (even with dogs around) so that says some things about the types of dogs that live here. However, there is a lot of dog poop and garbage (cigarette butts, glass, and other trash) on the grounds which is the fault of the residents (not the dogs or staff). The last time I went to the dog park, there was dog poop everywhere and hence, I did not go back. This place has fines for people not picking up after their dogs so I hope that they enforce these fines. I also hope that dog owners like me who pick up after their dogs are not penalized just for owning a dog. In addition, maintenance is fast and the second floor apartments seem to have thin floors.
A few insect issues but nothing you wont find anywhere else. Biggest problem is that the contract supposedly doesn't allow "aggressive dogs" and states so pretty clearly, however multiple dogs have been attacked, as well as my puppy because the Management refuses to enforce this in any way. Its dangerous to go jogging or to walk your dog. If you get attacked, main office will not lift a finger. That in itself ruins the experience of living here. Great experience if you have no pets, never go out and don't have kids. Literally EVERYONE has an aggressive pit-bull here, its ridiculous. For the cost of living here, you would expect some sort of response after the first couple of attacks. During the Yearly Inspection, whoever conducted the inspection let my dog loose as well as moved items in my home. I called the front desk and they were not able to provide any assistance. They only assured me that the inspectors would not have done such a thing. I find it interesting that this was the only time my dog has ever gotten out of her double lock cage. Also Id love to figure out where shes been hiding her opposable thumbs. Because of this, my dog (who was a puppy at the time) caused furniture damage. Again, front desk were unable to help me. Roberts Mill is a quiet place to live but messing with people's homes when its supposed to be an inspection, and not enforcing simple rules that ensure the safety and security of its residents is pretty essential I would think. These were the main reasons I did not renew my lease. Roberts Mill has upsides as well. Dog Parks (when Pit Bulls arn't around) are great and the pool is nice even though its freezing cold. Sometimes that's a good thing. All and all, I would not recommend Roberts Mill to anyone mainly because of the "elephant in the room" no one talks about which is the Pit Bulls attacking everything that moves. This is everything I was able to notice from living here after a year.
