I clearly chose the wrong person to deal with when I tried going through Redfin to search for a home. I had a very hard time getting timely responses... and by hard time, I'm talking like 2-4 days at a time!!! I kept trying to be reasonable and give the benefit of the doubt, however, when I asked about touring a home in Estacada ( a beautiful LOG CABIN!), it took my rep 4 damned days to reply.... just to tell me that the seller just accepted an offer 2 days ago (remember I asked to tour 4 days ago=I could have had a chance to see the damn house!!). You will find yourself not wanting to deal with these people anymore just like I did!!! Completely unimpressed!! I also called customer service one day and left a voicemail because my agent was on vacation and didn't bother to tell me,... this was on a normal business day... and never got a call back at all! Not helpful in the least bit. It's like the agents don't care because they don't have any contracts with you as the buyer. Most of the interaction, when there was some, was via text, which also irritated me. I realize we live in a world full of technology... but as agents, they should better represent you and be more professional when dealing with you and communicating. Days go by between email replies, phone calls don't get returned! I lost 3 months of search time because I kept trying to keep an open mind! But considering I'm trying to help my boyfriend find a home so he can move here after he returns to the country from Afghanistan... I just don't have the patience or the desire to EVER deal with Redfin again!! I also found out that most of their agents are generally people new to the realty industry who are basically inexperienced and learning to take their lumps. Would've been nice to know ahead of time! As soon as I started working with a new rep with a different company, the first thing I was told is that they get WAY TOO MANY complaints from people who have had bad experiences with Redfin. Lesson learned!
