The pulmonary department was awful to me. My mother is a patient of Dr. Grover and she is a very sick patient with fibroids in her lungs, she needs a lung transplant and gets a prescription every 8 days and they never have the prescription ready for her. The staff is very rude especially one woman named Omayra. I work for a big doctors office so I know how busy it can get but one thing I do right is put my patients first and make sure they have the best care. I make sure i take care of priority cases first. If people don't know how to work in a doctors office and don't have great personality work ethetics then I feel that maybe they need to work elsewhere.
SCARY ER VISIT - disrespectful aids, nurses and ER doctor. My daughter was seen days after a car accident, almost passing out, numb legs, arms and face, heat and pain in chest, etc. She was judged as having a panic attack/drug user. We were left alone most of the time, doctor did full DRUG SCREEN with blood drawn, UNDISCLOSED to us! 4 hours later I had to ask for cardiac blood work to be done, which showed a blood clot!! To make a horribly long story short, she could have died from NEGLECT in a place where you should be cared for by medical professionals. THERE WAS NOTHING PROFESSIONAL ABOUT THIS ER!! ALL PATIENTS SHOULD BE TREATED WITHOUT JUDGEMENT!!! THERE SHOULD BE PROTICOL NOT PREJUDICE!!!!
Yes, the medical care and personnel were great. That's what one expects. However, the building is dirty. Just spent the day as a family member waiting outside the OR and ICU unit. The carpets and furniture are filthy, stained and worn. very shabby. Having had the whole day to observe...you quickly see why. The "housekeeping" staff just drifts around, spending a large amount of time trying to look like they are working. They whisked here and there danced around that was it. I would fire them all immediately. There is a sign on the way in: " if you have recently traveled to West Africa....let the staff know (Ebola).. They should add....if you have recently been at St Francis....let a the staff know. I understand the the CEO of the hospital is earning several millions annually. He should spend a day in the family waiting area to really learn what's happening. Oh ....he's at lunch? Sorry to disturb you Chief. It all comes down to poor management of the house. The doctors and professional staff are first class.
IF I COULD GIVE THIS HOSPITAL ZERO STARS I WOULD. WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T GO TO SAINT FRANCIS ESPECIALLY IF IT'S FOR SERIOUS MEDICAL ISSUES I AM TALKING FROM EXPERIENCE . IM GOING TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT SO BASICALLY I NEVER WANTED TO BE APART OF ANYWHERE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS HOSPITAL WHEN I WAS PREGNANT BUT A SITUATION I WAS IN I DIDN'T HAVE AN OPTION. IN THE MIDDLE OF MY LABOR THE BABY'S HEART RATE KEPT DROPPING ND THEY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHY THE BABY WAS IN ALOT OF DISTRESS ND THEY INSISTED TO NOT GET A C SECTION THEY HAD ALOT OF CLOSE CALLS WHEE THEY WERE ABOUT TO GIVE ME AN EMERGENCY CESAREAN . WHEN THE BABY WAS BORN THERE WAS NO DOCTOR PRESENT AND I WAS SCREAMING, "WHERE'S THE DOCTOR?" IT WASN'T LIKE MY LABOR WAS PROGRESSING FAST IT WAS A VERY LONG LABOR ACTUALLY SO THEY HAD PLENTY OF TIME TO GET A DOCTOR WHEN I KEPT TELLING THEM U HAD TO PUSH BECAUSE I COULDN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE . THE BABY ENDED UP WITH HIS UMBILICAL CORD WRAPPED AROUND HIS NECK WHICH EXPLAINS THE HEART RATE DROPPING. MY CHILD COULD HAVE DIED THEY SHOULD OF CHECKED WHY THE HEARTBEAT WAS DROPPING THAT'S THE POINT OF THE FETAL MONITORS IF I WAS AT ANY OTHER HOSPITAL THEY WOULD OF DONE AN EMERGENCY C SECTION TO BE SAFE HE WAS DEPRIVED OF OXYGEN FOR HOURS BARELY GETTING ANY. I REPORTED DURING AND AFTER MY PREGNANCY MY ANKLE WAS SWOLLEN AND FELT TENDER AND WARM . THEY NEVER BOTHERED TO EXAMINE IT! 4 DAYS POSTPARTUM MY LEG SWELLED UP I WENT TO MANCHESTER HOSPITAL AND THEY SAID YOU HAVE A BLOOD CLOT! THE DOCTORS THERE EVEN SAID GOOD THING YOU CAME HERE BECAUSE IT COULD HAVE TRAVELED AND BEEN FATAL HE ALSO MENTIONED IT WOULDN'T OF BEEN GOOD FOR YOUR DOCTOR EITHER SINCE YOU REPORTED SWELLING AND TENDERNESS IN THAT AREA AND THEY NEVER BOTHERED TO CHECK IT. I WAS IN MANCHESTER HOSPITAL FOR ABOUT A WEEK THEY TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF ME IN NO TIME I WAS BACK WITH MY BABY . I'VE HAD A MENTAL ILLNESS (DEPRESSION ) AND THEY CALL DCF ON YOU! IF YOU EVER HAD A MENTAL HEALTH HISTORY DOESN'T MATTER HOW LONG AGO IT WAS I HAD DCF COME IN MY ROOM ON THE POSTPARTUM FLOOR THEY SAID THE BABY SHOULD BE PUT ON A 92 HOUR HOLD! MIND YOU I JUST GAVE BIRTH SO MY HORMONES MADE ME VERY EMOTIONAL THEY DECIDED TO LET ME GO HOME WITH MY BABY AND DCF SAID I TAKE VERY GOOD CARE AND HE'S IN GOOD HANDS . SAINT FRANCIS PUT ME THROUGH HELL! THERE IS SOON MUCH MORE INCIDENTS THAT HAPPENED WITH THIS HOSPITAL BUT IS TOO MUCH DETAIL TO PUT ON HERE IT'S RIDICULOUS I AM DISGUSTED WITH THIS PLACE. IT MAKES ONE WONDER HOW THESE DOCTORS OBTAINED THEIR DEGREES HONESTLY THE HOSPITAL HAS RELIGIOUS STUFF ALL OVER THE WALLS IT MAKES SENSE NOW. BECAUSE ALOT OF PEOPLE DIE THERE FROM THINGS THEY COULD OF BEEN SAVED FROM ! UGH
Helpful staff. Had to visit a relative here and was helped by a group of nurses. They were very knowledgeable, kind, and willing to let me ask a bunch of questions.
