I paid $760 a month for a "1 bedroom," which most of my visiting friends classified as a Studio. Regardless, it was plenty of space for me, and I loved my large window and view of Broadway and downtown. The location was unsurpassed-- walk to Vanderbilt, $6 cab ride downtown, and you can foot it downtown if you really want to. You get A LOT of hospital siren noise, however, and The Corner Pub is a reasonably loud sports crowd. If you want a quiet place, stay away; however, I rather enjoyed the city sounds and live music that is so ubiquitous in Nashville. Mainly inhabited by international Vanderbilt Law Students, who are very quiet and considerate neighbors. One of my neighbors did like to smoke in her bathroom, though, which would come through the vents to my unit and smelled really odd, but there wasn't much that could be done with that. If you're a smoker it could be a plus, you ARE permitted to smoke in your unit! Management was reasonably friendly and all of my maintenance requests were followed through within 3 days or so, so I was very pleased with that. I always had a parking spot very close to the door (impossible with this building to NOT have a good parking spot). Unfortunately far from the "amenities" of a pool and fitness room, which are up at Village at Vanderbilt. All in all, I moved out because it was too expensive. Would happily pay $650 for this place a month (it is old, and small, and the ceilings DO have asbestos), but they wanted to raise my rent to $910. Wasn't happening!
