Lived at these apartments for 6 years, don't do the same. The area is terrible, gun shots all the time, and sirens every night. people got cars, wheels and tail gates stolen (including us), so to help with the security they installed gates at the front which were more of a pain than help. Management is horrendous, everything breaks down on us and they come to "fix" it often. Our stove short circuits maybe every 2 months or so and they always tell us that it's our fault even though we have no control over that. The gym is terrible w/broken equipment. The field is always dead dry. Soccer field is for kids only, but yet there's always men 20+ older (who don't even live here) playing on it all the time, and when i want to use it security kicks me off. It's just a bad place to live and you might be wondering why i haven't left withing these 6 years and it's because of one thing, the living room space of the HillCrest floor plan. It's so spacious and while living here we bought a big couch, which is the reason we haven't moved. There's really no other apartment in Fresno with the same spacious living rooms, at least none that we know of or can afford. Still at the end of the day i would not recommend these apartments for anybody at all.
I do not recommend this place especially for military. I am a military wife, and when it was time to move because my husband was stationed somewhere else they gave me hell! Even after I gave them all the paperwork that stated that my husband is station somewhere else they still denied me the 30 days or they would give me the 30 days but they would charge me for breaking the contract. When I know exactly military can break contracts if you're stationed somewhere else . They also try to scare me by saying they have a military attorney . But I know my rights and I kept giving them proof of what I was saying. after our attorney our military attorney sent them an email saying or stating that we're station somewhere else to let us go. they finally did after almost two weeks of struggling. I felt like they were trying to take advantage. This was not the only time they try taking more money away from us. I sent out a check early for my rent and I sent it early incare there was a problem they can tell me before the 5th so I won't get charged late fee. But no they waited until after the fifth so they can get more money out of us. I also met this other person who use to live here and this person is a military as well. So now because he had to leave for deployment they give him bad references and because of that no one wants to rent him a place anywhere. That is very wrong!! I have nothing but bad experiences here. I have a brand new car and I've lived in other apts and after the first month of living here my car got bibi gun shot over night. I'm asking myself where is all the security they claim to have. My screen window was pulled out. Someone was trying to break in over night and still no security! I did see the security a couple of time. But on the phone or else they park the car and walk to the restaurant by us. This apts are ghetto! I left my trash can to dry outside and someone stoled it. They also have gates but anyone can go in. Or even some times they leave them open over night.
Extremely bad experience beyond our worst nightmares. RUN!!!!!!
We’ve been here for about 7 months now and we love it!! I mean for living in an apartment and all. My first impression was... it’s in a "not so good" part of town & the outside of the complex looked a little out dated but when I actually took a tour of Torrey Ridge it had so many possibilities. We moved in to a re-furnished town house, new carpets, fresh paint, up dated light fixtures & so much more. At that time we were expecting our first child & we had tons of concerns but 7 months later we feel it was a good decision. It’s not so bad we take walks together all the time with our now 3 month year old baby boy around the pond & park area. Downfalls are the pool area could use some lounge chairs and umbrellas. The laundry and work out facilities could use new appliances but what apartment complex couldn’t. The girls in the office are helpful & their main maintenance man is very friendly.
These apartments are absolutely horrible. They look nice but are far too expensive for what they provide. The crime rate is horrible. I had a one year lease and had to break early because the police were outside my apartments at least 4 times a week. Management refused to do anything about it. I do have a pet, in which I took so my deposit was almost 1200.00 and I did not receive a thing back when leaving. They sent me a bill for 700.00 for "damages" and I am in the process of taking them to court for the problem. If they can not provide me a safe place to stay, in which I believe is part of paying rent, then I see no reason why I should have to obey by the lease. These are the worst apartments you could move in to. I would not recommend them to anyone. Partying neighbors kept me awake all night most weekends. I called the police who never would show up. I let management know and nothing was done about it. It was near impossible to get maintenance out to your apartment to do anything, and if he did he never fixed the problem. When I moved into the apartment the toilet leaked all over the floor. I let them know and it was never fixed and when I left they wanted to charge me extra money for mold being behind the toilet. This is just not a good place to live. I was scared to walk to my apartment that was 30 feet away from my car at night.
