I got my industrial here, and I'm so happy with it. The shop is clean, everyone's friendly, and they prices are fair. Becca is a fabulous piercer. She's nice and she'll answer any question you have, and she immediately put me at ease, even though I was a bit nervous about the piercing. The piercing was over quickly, and it looks AMAZING. She also made herself really available should I have any issues with my piercing as it heals. Definitely will be coming back here for my next piercing!
This was the single best tattoo experience I've had. I went into the place the first time and the staff was very very friendly, you tell them what you want and they help to place you with the tattoo artist who fits what you want. I ended up choosing Drake because I loved his coloring and lettering, which were two very important details for this tattoo. I made my appointment for a week later and put down my deposit. The tattoo took two hours, and Drake did an amazing job. His lines were super clean, his coloring, shading, and texture exactly what I wanted, and the lettering is just as smooth. I had minimal bleeding and almost no swelling. My only complaint is that he was a little heavy handed when wiping, but I probably could have said something I just didn't due to my anxiety problems. In the end I got exactly what I wanted. The tattoo did cost just a little more then originally quoted, but I did change the design and we ended up going bigger, so the price was 100% worth it. Good tattoos are not cheap, and my tattoo is just another example of that! Thank you Drake and everyone at Westside Tattoo! I will be coming back!
I've gone in a few times now to get work done by Matt. Not only does he do beautiful work, the prices are very fair. He touched up a mother/daughter tattoo for my mom & I and made it look 100 times better. The original we got done in Minneapolis and the guy charged $100 each. Matt fixed them up for $60 each. Definitely my go-to tattoo shop.
Went to ask about getting my tattoo touched up, parked in the only open area. No signs said I couldn't. Owner stormed out and tried to have my car towed for parking there. Never even asked why I was there. Said I was a stupid kid and literally called a tow truck on me. Never going there if they're going to be that rude.
I am severely disappointed in the quality of service, artistry, and follow-up that I received from this establishment. Drake, the individual that was responsible for marring my body was not receptive to the feedback to which I gave him. Although he was tasked with simply tracing a stencil, he could not manage to do even that. Several of the lines were not straight and many of the letters were not properly formed; including but not limited to incorrect spelling, inconsistencies in line work, and failure to complete several letters. When I spoke to whom I believe was the owner of the establishment, I did not receive any reassurance that my feelings toward the finished piece were valid. In my departure, I attempted to thank Drake for his efforts, yet he childishly refused to shake my hand. I strongly recommend considering other Tattoo Shops largely due to the poor quality of my own experience, but also to the defensive tactics these individuals employed when I tried to express what I felt to be constructive feedback.
