I was charged an $80 carpet cleaning fee when I moved out, but I didn't have my carpet cleaned when I moved in. I didn't realize that I was supposed to note that in my move in condition sheet. It takes a couple tries and asking to get maintenance and repairs done in your apartment. I also had a confusing late fee and 3 day notice to vacate the first full month I lived there after paying rent before the first day of the month. It turned out that my electronic prorated rent payment from the month before when I moved in didn't get processed and I didn't know it, but the notices and text messages didn't help me see that. The late fees were excused and waived though when I figured things out with one of the office staff... but I got another text message later to pay those late fees, so I had to go back and explain it again and then the late fees were officially waived. I would have liked foot paths that lead out to the sidewalks, but I have to go cautiously through the grass where it is wet and marshy and sometimes dogs droppings in the grass.
This is our second year at Crossroads apartments, Our apartment is very nice, new everything and very quiet. The facility itself is fairly nice, however the grounds could be attended too a little better. It may be the type of tenants or a lack of staffing or perhaps a combination of the two that causes this issue, there tends to be too much debris/trash for my taste and some of the tenants have a problem picking up their dog poop. This problem doesn't necessarily create an unpleasant living environment, if you only go from your apt to your car, however if you have a child, as we do, it tends to make you not want to let your child play on playground or on the grounds. This is the only reason I didn't give them a 5 star rating. The manager (Brianna) is extremely proactive and polite and addresses your needs promptly, she is very friendly. The assistant manager (Shawna) tends to be slightly curt. But all in all the staff including the support staff (who is extremely nice) is easy to deal with and efficient. The maintenance team is friendly and helpful as well, although they seem to be overwhelmed at times, so I think they need to hire more people but that's obviously a property owner (Wasatch) issue not the apartment complexes lack of management skills. In total it is a very pleasant place to live and I would recommend living here.
Before you seriously consider living here just think to yourself whether or not you want to live in a place where they lie straight to your face and not give a flying f*** about you. I moved in here in December of last year to a 2 bedroom apartment, when they showed me the model that they had they said that my apartment would look fairly similar, the day before move in (when they actually let me see the apartment) it looks like a mediocre apartment especially for the price. The second day that I was there there was a noise complaint put in and I recieve a call to talk about the complaint, now at the time I worked the graveyard shift from 8PM to 4:30AM and according to them I was up making noise until 2 in the morning, quite impossible to be in two locations at the same time but I could be wrong. Everything is fine until I have to move out, they are charging me $1200 dollars worth of damages, apparently when I moved in the carpet was brand new even though I stated on the move in checklist that there were stains on the carpet but I guess nowadays old carpet is new apparently, not only were there stains on the carpet but when I spoke to the maintenace guy how much it would be to replace the carpet he said that it was so old they were throwing it when I moved out anyway, on the subject of maintenace the apartment complex left me without AC for all of August and 11 days of September and when asked about it they replied "were working on it". Also if you are the type of person that likes paying for a parking spot but never use it then go ahead and live here, for a whole month I was left without a parking spot but since the people would leave before the office was open there was nothing that they could do about it. If you want to pay a $400 pet deposit but then not have it apply to any pet damages then this is a great place, what tops it all of is when I tried to speak to Shawna about the charges and see if we could work something out she said there wasn't when I stated that I would have to seek legal help and she said was "You do what you have to we have pictures so yeah uuuhuuu" afterwards I received a call from their collections center and the lady said "Well what people usually do is end up paying for the lawyer and then they pay us so if you want to pay double that's your choice". If you notice the 4 or 5 star reviews are from people who still live there and have not moved out, hopefully they update their review when they do leave, not if, but when. So before you move in here, no, before you think of even asking for an application think to yourself "Do I like getting treated like escrement"? and if you do then this is the place for you!!!!
I have lived at Crossroads for about a year and I absolutely love it! The management is awesome. They take very good care of the residents and the property. Maintenance is great and always gets my requests done quickly. There are often fun events going on. great place to live!!!
We have lived here for over a year and have not had any major issues. The office staff are always professional and return communication as soon as possible. Maintenance is very courteous and on time for scheduled/requested work orders. I would recommend Crossroads to family and friends. Happy Holidays!
