This place has been a nightmare since day 1. For starters I was not given all the proper information prior to moving in. The day I moved in my carpet was filthy and absolutely had not been vacuumed let alone deep cleaned, half on my light switch plates were missing, the garbage disposal was broken, the shower and bathroom weren't caulked, my shower did not drain, two of my light fixtures had no coverings, one light fixture was cracked (which I later came home one day and it was shattered all over my kitchen floor), my toilet didn't work, and I found out later my washing machine doesn't work. On move in day I called the emergency line to get the toilet fixed and no one came so my whole first night myself and my parents had to go across the street to use the restroom or drive to other locations. When they did recaulk my shower I waited two days before showering again and it still came right off, this has been an on-going problem. Instead of fixing my garbage disposal they "cleaned it" and now my sink doesn't drain properly and the garage disposal does not work. My washing machine will not switch cycles and one day I left with my clothes in the wash to come back 5 hours later and everything was destroyed. The worst thing was waking up to the smell of gasoline throughout my apartment only to find they were storing OPEN gasoline cans with rags shoved into them (no lids) underneath my window. When I called and asked for them to be moved, they only put upside down bathroom trash cans on them which did not suppress the smell... The list goes on and on.... DO NOT waste your time looking at this location. I cannot keep up with the things that are wrong in this apartment and it was the last thing I wanted to deal with while starting a brand new job on top of moving to a whole new city. You can find much nicer places for the same price in the same area and the second I am settled into my new job I will be forfeiting my security deposit, paying the fee and leaving. The apartment has potential to be a great spot to live and I was so excited when I found it and moved in but then it all fell apart... The only positives are that the amenities are great as well as the location and when you do speak with management, they're always friendly and understanding.
I lived at the River Lofts Nov 2013-Jan 2014 and let's just say my lease couldn't end fast enough. My experience with management consisted of me constantly trying to get in contact with no response-phone calls, emails, and when I went into the office to talk to Casey, the assistant manager, she assured me she would be in contact after I explained my issues and then never was. The staff is unprofessional and do not cater to the needs of their tenants. I waited 6 mos for new blinds after mine had broken. This was after I put in at least 3 requests for them to be replaced, emailed Casey and the maintenance supervisor and finally went into the office and was told "Oh I thought that was taken care of" with no follow up. I would not recommend The River Lofts by any means.
I had a very different experience while living here. I thought Management was very easy to deal with and I typically had a response within 24HRS if not immediately. I loved my apartment and only had minor maintenance issues which were addressed relatively quickly. My apartment was renovated and my friends and family all agreed that it was just a fantastic space. As a Property Manager in the Fan, I recommend all friends and even prospects looking for something in the Bottom to rent with them. Quiana was my leasing agent and she was great to work with. Long story short, if you have an issue, go to Management's office, don't just submit a work order and hope it gets taken care of in a day or two. This is a huge complex and these guys do a great job for the number of tenants they manage. I loved all of their events from the Holiday parties to the pool parties. I really love it here.
Serious maintenance problems. It takes more than a week to get a light bulb replaced because they don't keep parts in stock. They literally repaired my shelving with duct tape, tho the part is easily found at any hardware store for less than a dollar. Previous poor repairs resulted in mold under the bathroom vanity, and other problems. Even tho I was trying to move-in, they just shrugged at these and other problems as being normal. There are other lofts nearby at the same price and nicer....keep looking.
office is awful. never have the correct info, do not respond to you. prices are always changing.
