Horrible MANAGER, doesn't interact with residents, she sits in office all day on the phone or computer. Property looks nice because of previous maintenance but I don't see that lasting long, to many resident complaints about manager and over all the staff at Chapel Ridge would be much more solid and residents would be happier with a new manager!!!
I have found that the staff really doesn't care about anything you discuss with them. Also I have found that there is a community SNOOP, in building 1. She watches the pool, trash can (for anyone "dumping"), and all the neighbors. I have beautiful flowers on my deck, (unlike the neighbors across the hall with dirty diapers and bags of trash) and take care and have pride in my home. Unfortunately, because I have 3 kids, they make some noise. I can not control the fact that they are just being kids...pushing a car around on the floor, crying or fighting with one another. We have had the cops called on us for RIDICULOUS reasons and on a CONSTANT basis. Now that I am pregnant, our lease expires next month. They have decided to "NOT RENEW" our lease. This gives me 37 days to find a home for the 5 of us and a new baby! (Not to mention that I will have to struggle finding a home in Haysville to keep my children in Haysville schools where they have grown friendships with others and grown to enjoy their school!) I also will have to pack up a home of 5 during a period where one of my children has a birthday, and two of them are involved in basball (so we have practices and games), and have a garage sale that has been scheduled at my mom's for a month. I must do all of this and move out within 37 days. We don't even get to have the option for a month to month....which we would be fine with because we HATE our crazy white trash neighbors. They sit and smoke on their porch all day and let their kids run a muck. Not to mention we know of their serious bouts of HEAD LICE! We have found 7 brown recluse spiders in our apartment in 3 weeks. We have notified the maintenance man of this and he offered to bring RAID up to our apartment which in fact is not good to have around young children or a pregnant woman. I just would like someone to realize before they move into these apartments that they don't care about you as a tenant....they are friends with people and take their sides rather than listening to all sides of a story, and really I don't think your neighbor should be allowed to stalk you! Oh and they come into your apartment every month to "check your smoke detectors" and your "air filters". (I have had black stuff coming out my vents the ENTIRE 2 years I have lived here. I am happy to leave. (Living on the 2nd level really sucks for grocery shopping!) but also, extremely glad to get away from NOSEY white trash neighbors. DON'T LIVE HERE! (one more thing...they get a deal with Cox Communications, and they don't pass that deal onto their tenants) (also...they raise their rent by $15 EVERY YEAR!) 2 years ago it was $595, this year was $610, and if we would of got a new lease it is $625. Their water bill seems fishy too....it has fluctuated from $20 to $55. (I called to complain, so they stopped watering their grass as much...my bill went down! So WATCH it!)
Moved a daughter in and found a helpful/cooperative/attentive staff, CLEAN apartment, kind neighbors, courteous security staff and for an affordable place was impressed. It is not the Ritz, but it is in a culdesac like area, user and family friendly. Could have more parking, but considering the tradeoffs it does well. I'm sure there are problems but it is more than reasonable, and that runs deeper than just the surface.. 1 month of input
