I have lived here for about a year now and i can honestly say this place is worth every penny. The area is very quiet, i always feel safe no matter what time of day it is. The office ladies are fabulous and the Manager Tom has always been kind during our encounters. They do fun events, they always email us with updates and to remind us our rent is due. If you are interested in renting go see Stephanie or Audra in the front office and i promise you will have a positive experience. It's hard to find an apartment complex you can call home but it's just that cozy here! P.S- to all German Shepherd lovers they are welcome here!!
I lived here a year ago and ended up breaking my lease it was so bad. I had 4 teenage boys living alone on one side of me who would blare music/television at all hours of the night, and on the other side of me I had a couple who would have regular, violent domestic disputes. Audra in the office is completely incompetent. No one would help me until the new manager, Tom Reed, came on - but by then it was too late and I was already in the process of terminating my lease. I moved to a different Camden property and have been just as dissatisfied with the management. Even after I moved, however, the problems from Grand Harbor didn't end. I was left with a $300 charge on my account that was labeled "water bill" for a time period I had already paid for. I emailed and called the office several times explaining as such, sent billing payment proof and spreadsheets clearly explaining the discrepancy, all to no avail. They kept saying that it was still due and that they spoke to the county and I was not being double-charged. This went on for 7 months after I moved out until finally I called one day and the district manager happened to be in the office. I spoke to her and she figured out that someone had changed the billing description from "prorated rent" to "water bill." All this time spent going back and forth and it was for something I would have paid immediately if I had been accurately told what it was for (also, this obviously shows they were lying about contacting the county. If they actually had, they would have figured this out long ago). I will never rent from a Camden property again, and I suggest anyone looking to save some time and money and look elsewhere.
Camden is an amazing place to live!! I have lived in several different apartment communities in my life and none have come as close to being home as much as my apartment here at Grand Harbor. My apartment is absolutely beautiful and the community is just as nice and beautifully landscaped. The staff here is amazing and they are known for going above and beyond to keep their residents happy. If there is anything I need in my apartment such as a light bulb changes or an appliance that needs maintenance done the on call maintenance staff is so good about doing their best to get what I need done the same day. My absolute favorite thing about living at a Camden is the fact that they have a 24/7 Contact Center that are there to help residents with pretty much anything if the office staff is unavailable. So you can always speak to a live person instead of a machine, which I love!!! Grand Harbor is a very quiet and family friendly place to live but in case we have any disturbances or emergency maintenance issues throughout the night there is 24 hour on call emergency maintenance staff and Courtesy officers that can be dispatched by the Contact center. I really can’t say anything bad about this community!!
Simply fantastic! Very firiendly and responsive staff.
I was a resident when it was Verde Grand Harbor, now known as Camden Grand Harbor. One, I am writing this review in hopes that it goes to the Corporate Office. When it was under the Management of Verde, it was like living in a small home like community. The residents had been there for sometime and I was welcomed with smiles and loving arms. We all got along and we each had each other's back, ie when someone went out of town, we watched their apartment or took care of their pets, or visited them in the hospital. Whatever our neighbor needed, we all were there. The Front Office Personnel from Nicole, Heather and Johnathan - was outstanding...in professionalism. The Maintenance was also hard working individuals, polite, punctual and professional too. I read some of the reviews and being a Native Houstonian, bugs are everywhere. The pool situation was a problem needing much attention and a solution is needed. Now the change - Corporate (business) bought them out. From a friendly, home like setting, it is more of a business and businesses are there to make money only. From the time I left and more people moving out, they are trying to beautify the outside, covering up the old paint with new, flowers and keeping up the grounds but little do they know what matters is in the inside which are the people. Sometimes Corporate office should take the time from hitting the calculator button to hearing from the people there. Its common sense, listen and make the necessary changes. Then the inside will beautify the outside. Most long term residents have left. Nicole, Heather and Johnathan have left - they made a difference. If the Camden's want to keep the longevity of residents, then they need to start listening to past residents. As Katy builds up and new apartments are popping up, I hope to not see the Camden's as a ghost time. Nicole, Heather and Johnathan - we will miss you - you all did a fantastic job.
