This review is for Dolce Living Grand Camden Apartments. My boyfriend and I were looking at apartments in Katy so we decided to check out this location. As soon as I walk in and ask for information a lady at the front asks "How many rooms?". I said "One". She just shook her head and said "I don't have any available." Then continued with whatever she was doing. She did not offer any other information. I was going to say I'd be interested in a 2 bedroom but didn't even bother. Horrible, rude service. My assumption was she didn't think we could afford the rent because we are young and had our 4 month old daughter with us. Which is entirely not the case. I went to multiple other apartments and received awesome assistance. No other location made me feel this way. I WAS considering these apartments but now we are definitely looking else where.
Camden is a wonderful place to live. Well maintained and clean. Two reasons as to why I am moving out. 1. It too far from work (this has nothing to do with Camden directly) I wish work was closer. 2. The only internet option in Consolidated and it is HORRIBLE. It's not Camden's fault, they are bound by a contract with consolidated. Other than that, I really recommend this place. The area is awesome and the people here are great.
I am writing this review in hoping to let people know this complex suck!!! and do not sign a lease there!!! 1) Parking is a nightmare!!! There is not enough parking for residence! If you go out, you will have to park like 6 buildings away to get a spot!!! It you park in the paid parking, you will be towed!!! Even though lots of people do not pay to rent out those spots and do not get towed, you will be the lucky one and get towed and make you late for work!! and will have to call 3 different numbers until you find your car!!!! and pay 208.80 for it!!! and travel like 20 miles for it! Good Luck! 2) There are residents there that sell drugs!! Yes drugs! Wish I knew that before I signed the lease! This is why I am writing this! 3) My car was broken in to!!! That is all I need to say about that!!! 4) People do not pick up after their dogs!! So people are stepping in crap all the time!! Place is dirty!! 5) Our dishwasher has mold in the bottom of it... so we do not use it!!! 6) Our toilet was put back together with card board!!! One day I was cleaning it and popped out the card boarded and the top of the toilet can crashing down! I was told by the leasing office to put it back in there in until the maintenance gets to it tomorrow. 7) maintenance is just lazy and will cut corners anyway they can to save a $1.00! 8) The management messed up on our rent, and took forever( 4 months ) for them to fix it! 9) Our other neighbor is a lazy piece of crap!!! and very disrespectful! 10) The pool is nasty!! Can never swim in it! People eat, smoke, and pee in there! 11) People litter like the yard is there trash can!! So if you have a dog, must watch them when you take them out!!! I would nor recommend signing a lease here!! And if you do Good luck with everything!!!
I have lived here for about a year now and i can honestly say this place is worth every penny. The area is very quiet, i always feel safe no matter what time of day it is. The office ladies are fabulous and the Manager Tom has always been kind during our encounters. They do fun events, they always email us with updates and to remind us our rent is due. If you are interested in renting go see Stephanie or Audra in the front office and i promise you will have a positive experience. It's hard to find an apartment complex you can call home but it's just that cozy here! P.S- to all German Shepherd lovers they are welcome here!!
Of the three apartment complexes I have lived in, Camden Grand Harbor is way above the rest. It is lovely, contemporary, clean, well-kept, given regular landscape maintenance, and has superb staff. My maintenance requests are always done in a timely manner by one of the friendly maintenance personnel. My complaints against loud neighbors are always dealt with professionally and quickly (we've had a problematic but nice neighbor above us, by no fault of Camden). I also love the marble counter tops and stainless steel appliances, big bathroom mirror and garden tub, and the fact that I never have problems with parking. Keep in mind that the pool is very popular. It can get a bit raucous with kids, twenty-somethings, and families but Camden has been trying new ways to contain it and make sure it is a feature that all residents can enjoy equally. My only complaint is with the level of attention that the gym receives in comparison to the rest of the property. It is spacious and has good equipment compared to many places, however, I've had a few problems with the cardio machines malfunctioning and it took a number of tries before the repair attempts were actually successful. Also, I had requested an additional workout bench because I thought it was really needed but that request went unanswered. If you're considering moving here you really can't go wrong!
