Bugs, a/c doesn't work, maintenance seems incompetent to fix it, fixed water leak myself after 3 days of a wet floor, do I need to go on? Not really you should get the point. OK two years later. Roaches got better! Haha same sink and A/C I told them was broke is still broke, after 7 requests and two years later. Someone just got mugged at knife point a few weeks ago. Sign up, be the next! It is fabulous at Parkway!
I would recommended that anyone that is interested in this apartment complex go elsewhere.This "business" does not even deserve one star!! I filled my application out on Nov 17 and paid the $35 application fee as well as paying the $150 deposit down on the apartment. I was told I could move in on Nov 28 from 3-5. I got a call on Tuesday the 25 with them telling me a pipe had busted and they would have to move my move in date to Dec 5th. I asked Danielle several different times if this move in date was reliable because I have a One year old son and we had to get out of the place we were living immediately (which I told them that from the beginning.) She confirmed with me that I would absolutely be able to move in on Dec 5. That same phone call she told me my new apartment number. It was only 5 minutes later they called back with a new apartment number. They changed my apartment number 3 different times which I found a little odd. So then Monday Dec 1 I called the leasing office and spoke with Danielle the leasing manager to confirm my move in date on Dec 5th so that I could set up the renters insurance they require and to switch the electric into my name. She said " yes ma'am you can go ahead and set that up and we will see you Friday at 3" Then, today Dec 3 Danielle called me at 11 am and told me " Amber, I apologize we will not be able to move you into our apartments they are currently insufficient for move ins, but you can come and pick up your deposit anytime this week." Never once did she offer me another move in date or any explanation. I went to pick up my deposit and they will not return my application fee, they said it is non-refundable. Which I than talked to Nicole, the manager, explaining to her that now I have to pay for another application fee and have my credit ran again, when never once is this my fault that I am not moving into there apartments. She still stated that I could do what I feel I need to do but they will not be returning the $35!! Needless to say, this is the worst experience I have EVER had and I do not wish this upon anyone! Thanks, to June Palm I am still able to move into a place on Friday and there amazing staff took care of me right away! I recommend anyone looking to rent a place to go to June Palms!
Management was rude, "accidentally" overcharged me multiple time. Took their sweet time to fix anything, and there was plenty to fix. Apt. across from mine had the ceiling caved in and rotted and moldy. Bottom apts were unfit to live in also. Same case in multiple buildings I found.
I have had nothing but problems with this place since we moved in. It's always a water issue. We've had water leak from the apartment above us more times than I can count and due to the mold in our kitchen cabinets, I have to keep my Tupperware, and cooking supplies on a bookcase along the wall. I've currently got water squishing under the linoleum flooring in my bathroom and kitchen because maintenance left the door open to the empty apartment next door and a pipe burst, sending water under the dividing wall to flood my apartment, yet again. They refuse to give me anything stating I've been in to ask for maintenance again, so I can't even get a step up to get the place fixed up. Pictures on other reviews, but the bottom line is, unless you like mold and splashing in puddles inside of your house, don't rent here. Even with new property management, you won't have a dry or healthy place to stay.
When I came to sign the lease, I had high hopes. This seemed like an affordable place with a caring staff. Within a day of moving in, I realized I'd been duped. The staff is incompetent to say the least; they're also rude and the woman who manages the property is a wretched person. You can place a work order and they will send you an email saying it's been completed...even if you've never heard back from them once. All of their apartments have various undeniable problems. Multiple people I've met since living here have told me stories like "Yeah, I used to live at parkway. There was a mold problem, and we would get sewage leaks that would soak our floors and eventually grow fungus...and parkway wouldn't even fix the problem." Living there was a terrible choice. I look back at that day when I made the decision to sign and truly wish I hadn't. I also wish I'd listened to the reviews that told me not to sign the lease. I hope others listen to this review and choose another place to live.
